  • S01E01 Wild Bill Hickok & the First Quick-Draw Duel

    The story behind the first-ever quick-draw duel between friends turned foes. Gambling buddies Wild Bill and Davis Tutt’s friendship turns to bitter rivalry over debts and a pretty girl. But when Davis takes Wild Bill’s timepiece — his most prized possession — for a debt, an all-out feud begins. Davis parades around town with the watch and pretty girl out of spite, which pushes Wild Bill over the edge. Determined to show Tutt and the rest of the town that he’s not someone to mess with, Wild Bill is willing to kill in order to salvage his reputation. The two men meet in the middle of town to settle the score, and the rest is history.

In pursuit of a killer, a young Texas ranger, Ira Aten, teams up with John Hughes, a reclusive rancher, who once tracked down a gang of horse thieves on his own. On the route to justice, Aten and Hughes form an unlikely bond, despite the fact that Hughes wants nothing to do with the rangers. Together, they ultimately nab the bad guy and end his reign of terror. In the end, Hughes reconsiders a career as a ranger and transforms from loner to lawman. His takedown with Aten was just the first throughout his legendary career that went on to inspire the popular novel, The Lone Star Ranger.

When his risky plan proves to be effective, Reeves earns the respect he deserves and goes on to have an extraordinary career protecting and serving the untamed West.

After the murder of beloved singer, Dora Hand, Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp head out in pursuit of the man responsible, Spike Kennedy. When they track him down, they partake in a dangerous shootout with Spike that ultimately comes to an end when Bat shoots him in the arm and places him under arrest. Relieved, Bat and Wyatt bring him in to let the law do the rest. But when the judge drops the charges against Spike due to a lack of evidence, Bat faces a moral dilemma regarding whether he should take the law into his own hands.

    After her father's death, nine-year-old Annie Oakley first picks up a rifle and begins shooting small game in order to feed her siblings and support her widowed mother. By her teenage years, Annie is so good at hunting that she begins supplying meat to a local grocery store, earning enough money to pay off her mother's mortgage. When famed sharpshooter Frank Butler comes to town for an exhibition, Annie accepts his challenge to participate in a shooting match. Not only does she win the match, but she wins Butler's heart as well. They are soon married, but they struggle to make it as a team on stage. A better shooter, Annie must become the main attraction for them to succeed. Years later, legendary gunfighter-turned-newspaperman Bat Masterson, tracks down Annie's husband to learn more about the rise of this shooting star.

She secures a contract to deliver mail by stagecoach for the U.S. Postal Service, becoming the first African American woman to carry mail. With a fearless attitude and multiple firearms, she protects the mail from would-be bandits and is soon known far and wide. Some years later, legendary gunfighter-turned-newspaperman Bat Masterson meets Sister Amadeus and gets the true story of "Stagecoach Mary."

    When they are tipped off about a train carrying a safe full of money and gold, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid assemble a team to pull off one of the Old West's greatest train robberies. Their devious plan is to use official Union Pacific lanterns to signal the train and fool the engineer into believing a bridge is out. Along with the other members of the Wild Bunch, Butch and Sundance take control of the train when the engineer stops, blow up the safe, and get away with a fortune.

    The true tale of Pearl Hart, the first woman to rob a stagecoach in the Old West. After escaping an abusive husband, Pearl heads west for a life of adventure. Her plans soon go awry when she loses her job as a cook in the silver mines and she gets word from home that her mother is gravely ill. Without any money to care for her ailing mother, Pearl makes a fateful decision to enter a life of crime. With the help of an accomplice, Joe Boot, she holds up a stagecoach and becomes the Wild West's notorious Bandit Queen.

    Charlie Russell is an aimless cowhand who loves the freedom of the cowboy way of life, and he is a self-taught artist who enjoys capturing the scenes of his rugged work on the range. Too embarrassed to ask people to pay for his paintings, he gives most of them away to friends or trades them for drinks at the saloon. But that changes quickly after he falls in love. Charlie's new bride Nancy gives him the encouragement he needs to stop cowboying in order to focus on his artwork.
