In Costa Rica findet Nigel Marven eine besonders vielfältige Tierwelt vor – mit Klammeraffen, Baumfröschen, Königsgeiern, Kolibris, Schnurrvögeln sowie schneckenfressenden Nattern. Im Dschungel besucht Nigel eine Kolonie von Blattschneiderameisen. Im Pazifik beobachtet er Schlankdelfine, an einem Karibikstrand schlüpfen Lederschildkröten aus den Eiern und krabbeln ins Meer.
