On the night of August 9, 1991, two men break into the Buddhist temple on the outskirts of Phoenix, AZ and murder all 9 people inside. The motive appears to be robbery. Based on a tip, a special task force quickly arrests four Tucson, AZ men and charges them with the murders. But ballistics tests on a confiscated .22 rifle connect the murders to two teenagers - Jonathan Doody and Alessandro "Alex" Garcia. While being questioned, Garcia admits he and Doody are the real killers.
