Brett, Ben, Meredith and Alonso review the third episode of American Crime Stories second season about the assassination of Gianni Versace. On July 15, 1997, fashion designer Gianni Versace is entering his Miami Beach mansion when he is shot and killed by Andrew Cunanan. Seven years earlier, Cunanan meets Versace at a gay nightclub in San Francisco and tells his friends about the encounter the following morning, fabricating most of the details. Cunanan later attends a performance showcasing costumes designed by Versace and engages in a brief romantic exchange with him after the performance. In the present, Cunanan flees the scene, evading Versace's partner Antonio D'Amico and the local authorities. Versace, meanwhile, is rushed to the hospital only to be pronounced dead. As Miami Beach Police works with the FBI, Versace's sister Donatella and brother Santo begin planning the future of his business. Cunanan evades the authorities, changing clothes and purchasing multiple newspapers covering Versace's death with a remorseless expression.
