Jonathan Kim (Huffington Post, Pacifica Radio) reviews BEING FLYNN, a film based on the memoir "Another Bullshit Night in Suck City". In BEING FLYNN, aspiring writer Nick Flynn (Paul Dano) begins working at a homeless shelter and develops a drug problem he struggles to control. His father, Jonathan (Robert De Niro), is a con man who abandoned Nick and his mom (Julianne Moore) and believes that he's one of America's greatest writers, despite the fact that he hasn't finished writing his novel. When Jonathan becomes homeless, he arrives at Nick's shelter, and Nick has to decide if he should attempt to reconcile with his father and attempt to get closure on his mother's suicide.
