「この感情に名前があるなんて知らなかった――――」 他人に無関心な優等生・水無瀬仁（本島純政）は、破天荒でクラスの問題児・蛭川晴喜（上村謙信）と関わらないように学生生活を送っていた。 しかしある日、水無瀬が学校の外で偶然見てしまったのは、父親に殴られて傷だらけの蛭川の姿。 思いがけず秘密を知ってしまった水無瀬は、これ以上深く関わらないように距離を置こうとするが、学校にいるときとは別人だった蛭川の姿が脳裏から離れず・・・。 学校では見えなかったお互いの一面を知った二人は、 次第にこれまで感じたことのない感情が芽生えてきて――。
