We have a lot to talk about when it comes to Netflix’s Wednesday series! Not only the fact that Jenna Ortega absolutely slays her role as Wednesday Addams, while still getting to see the OG Addams Family Wednesday, Christina Ricci as Marilyn Thornhill. There are so many incredible things to consider when talking about the set of the show. For one thing, it was filmed in Romania, which is not often utilized in film and TV, but the essence of Bucharest really captures the vibe that Tim Burton and the rest of the team really wanted for the show. There are also tons of easter eggs that reference Tim Burton’s other films. Did you happen to notice anything on the back wall of the Weathervane Cafe? A lot of the set was built at Buftea Studios, the largest and longest film studio in Eastern Europe! They literally do everything from construction to post production. Pilgrim World, the sheriff’s house, the town of Jericho, and the quad were all built there!
