Walter Melon is a man who runs a company called "Hero for Hire" where in each episode he ,sometime along with his assistant Bitterbug, would replace hero(s) temporarily when they are unable to do their duties due to them getting in trouble, get sick, or fall victim to their villains' latest scheme. Whenever he replace the hero, the characters from the episode would notice his weight but still believe him to the hero.
