After watching a mysterious white VHS tape, Mark talks in his sleep in a language that doesn’t exist.
Mark interviews the wife of Thurman Mueller, who was obsessed with the Video Palace before he disappeared twenty years ago. While Mark is away, Tamra is unnerved by a strange sound at their door.
Tamra helps Mark trace the new white tape to professional piano tuner Randy Wane. Mark interviews him and learns more about the Video Palace before the encounter takes a strange turn.
Mark and Tamra ask their music-composer friend Cat to analyze the white tapes. Cat’s discoveries, plus a revelation from Jacob Manders, send Mark and Tamra’s investigation in a new direction.
Mark and Tamra travel to Vermont to visit the original site of the Video Palace. After discovering a new lead, they stay overnight in a motel, where Mark’s sleep talking takes a turn for the worse.
Mark interviews a former clerk from the Video Palace and learns some intriguing new information. Meanwhile, Tamra visits a mental institution in search of the owners of the Video Palace.
Mark and Tamra enlist Cat’s help in lining up the audio in all four white tapes. The results cause a visceral reaction in Mark, leaving Cat and Tamra on their own as they make a crucial new discovery.
Mark and Tamra are rocked by a terrible series of events. Pushed to the breaking point, they have an explosive argument that could mean the end of their investigation as well as their relationship.
Tamra solves the hidden code, which points to a familiar location. While staking it out, Mark’s investigative instincts kick into overdrive and he charges directly into the heart of the mystery.
Mark returns to Randy’s shop and records his descent into the hidden basement. Tamra finds the recording and uses it to retrace Mark’s steps until a familiar obsession begins to grip her.
