Nika skuša ugotoviti, kdo je njen napadalec. Pretnar se vrne v redakcijo, Borut pa od Lexy dobi pomemben drobec informacij.
Nika je izgubila na sodišču, zaradi česar jo Hafner vžre iz stranke, Pretnar pa se vrne v službo na redakcijo časopisa in kljub posedovanju Žive in odgovorne urednice Eme tam ostane na visokem položaju. Pretnar kmalu ugotovi, da njegova zmaga ne bo zastonj. Nika se po soočenju s Špelo spet znajde v slepi ulici, zato se spusti v globine usodne noči – obišče kraj zločina.
Nika tries to uncover the identity of her attacker. Pretnar returns to the newsroom, while Borut receives an important fragment of information from Lexy. After losing in court, Nika is expelled from Hafner’s party. Pretnar regains his position at the newspaper, and despite controlling Živa and editor‑in‑chief Ema, he remains in a high post. Yet Pretnar soon realizes his victory will not come without a price. After confronting Špela, Nika once again finds herself at a dead end. Determined, she descends into the depths of that fateful night — revisiting the crime scene.
