Sales manager, Peter, and his wife, Aubrey, a stay at home mom, from Pasco, Washington, want to create a different future for their two children. Pete's hectic work life is keeping him away from home and family and technology is invading the girls' lives. Both Pete and Aubrey want their children to grow up experiencing a childhood full of adventure, nature and practical skills. After viewing three properties in remote locations they decide which one they want to stay in and test out. But after their time unplugged will they decide to move the family off-the-grid or not?
