Le soir du 3 juillet 1979, Chantal Dupont et Maurice Marcil sont tués par deux criminels qui croisent leur route sur le pont Jacques-Cartier. 40 ans plus tard, familles et journalistes racontent l’horreur de cet événement et tentent de saisir comment de tels meurtres ont pu se produire et si après tout ce temps passé en détention et en réhabilitation, les meurtriers méritent de sortir de prison.
