Ugo Ugo Rūga (ウゴウゴルーガ or Ugo Ugo Ruga, Ugo Ugo Ruuga) is a popular Japanese children’s television show, broadcast every morning from 5 October 1992 to 25 March 1994 on Fuji Television. His title is supposedly an anagram of the English-speaking expression Go, go, Girl, reversing the syllables of his phonetic transcription Gou Gou Gaaru. The show is presented by two children, the boy Ugo Ugo-kun (Hideto Tajima, born at the end of 1984) and the girl Ruga-chan (Yuka Koide, born in early 1985).
