In Preston, Ribble Reclamation ends up in turmoil by new owner Paul. Dale has run the yard on his own for ten years but Paul has invested over half a million pounds into the business and wants to see some several changes. Rival yard, Beeston Reclamation is run by Trevor and his younger brother Lee. Their sibling rivalry can sometimes get in the way of the smooth running of the business.
At Beeston Reclamation, Lee is on the the hint for new stock for the yard. He ends up spending £1000 of brother Trev’s money on the contents of a disused barn but after he returns with a double-seated toilet lid and some old milk churns, Trevor is not impressed. At Ribble Reclamation Dale decides to take a much needed holiday in Spain. Paul takes advantage of hiss absence by having a complete reorganisation of the yard.
Ann who often visits Ribble Reclamation is Paul’s most difficult customer. He attempts everything in his power to sell something to her, even trying to turn on the charm in his own unique way. At Beeston Reclamation, Trev and Lee could be about to make their biggest deal of the year.
At the Ribble yard, Paul has learnt about a specialist annual antiques auction 250 miles away in Norfolk. He takes Dale with him he spends £15,000 on some new stock but is disappointed after it finally arrives on the yard. Trev attempts to help out a friend with some free materials for a garden she is designing for a flower show.
Trev and Lee travel to the heart of the French countryside looking for some prized oak beams and flooring. At Ribble Reclamation, Paul is hoping to use manager Dale’s yard as a showcase for materials reclaimed from one of his demolition sites.
Paul’s decsion to tidy up Dale’s yard ends up revealing all sorts of surprising items being discovered. A fire at the historic Peckforton Castle ends up being a lucrative opportunity for Trev and
Paul is feeling frustrated by the number of customers who come in wanting to sell rather than buy at the yard. After manager Dale buys two stone fonts out of the back of a customer’s van for £350, Paul is less than impressed. At Beeston yard, Trev is pleased yard after manager Tim makes a quick sale of a fireplace.
At Ribble Reclamation, Paul attempts to convince Dale that merging his demolition business with Dale’s yard is the way to make a fortune. Trev and Lee’s yard at Beeston Reclamation sees festival organiser Sophie having an unusual request for a load of old whiskey barrels.
