Elaine passionately wants to promote Wales as the ideal location destination for screen projects – as a background the Welsh landscape can look stunningly beautiful or ruddy awful depending on the requirements of the script! Wyn and Charlotte are proud to support a new feature film shooting in Wales. They undertake a set visit and are astonished at just how much they are permitted to see as the cameras roll! Wyn in particular needs a lie down afterwards. Meanwhile Nez contacts a “white hat hacker” to check the security of the Wow Wales website. He proves to be a genius at disrupting websites and a dunce at putting things back to normal. Plus Elaine samples the very latest in Welsh fusion cuisine when a genius contemporary chef opens a pop-up eating experience in a disused Cardiff washing machine factory.
Elaine attends a business networking event for powerful women and bumps into her old friend Meinir owner of the Organic Wellness Centre in Swansea – who can’t hide her surprise to see Elaine at an event for successful people. Meanwhile the Marketing Team stretch themselves to the limit as they investigate the Welsh Yoga App. And Wyn feels the burn as he makes the case for cycling in Wales, donning lycra to showcase his pedal prowess. Elsewhere Jon has been promoted sideways and is seeking out new horizons for Wow Wales from his new desk on the Welsh/English border. Jon gets a meeting with a government MP and is keen to talk-up the feelgood factor of a trip to Wales.
Elaine wants Wow Wales to focus on “owning” the concept of “bad weather” so the marketing team led by Rob have their heads firmly stuck in the clouds. The lightning bolt of inspiration strikes big time as they sponsor a storm! Soon Storm Wow Wales! reaches the coast in Aberystwyth, where Gwilym points out to a sodden family of tourists just how grateful they should be for the Welsh rain. Kara is on call with advice for holidaymakers stuck in caravans while it pelts down all over the countryside. Meanwhile Nez develops a brand new accommodation app. Due to combination of weather, technical mix-up and no alternative sleeping options Elaine ends up using it and spending the night with Nez in his one bedroom flat. Just the two of them keeping shelter from a thunderstorm and watching a romcom. As night falls, Elaine and Nez are determined to keep relations professional!
