The eighteen teams meet up in Toronto for the first event: climb a tower and zip-line down from it to reach the first destination.
The teams make it to Morocco, where they need to pick out 5 spices and use them in a Moroccan dish, where one member must eat it in order to get to the chill zone.
Teams depart for Paris, France, where they must make it to the Eiffel Tower for the tip. Once there, the team member who didn't eat in Morocco has to draw a caricature of the other to find the next tip in the sewers, and to where the chill zone is located.
Teams must get to the Mediterranean to find the tip attached to a shark, and build a sand castle to get the tip of the next chill zone: Iceland.
Teams must speak in Icelandic to a native while crossing a geyser field to receive the tip to the next location, where they must either eat an Icelandic feast or find a frozen fossil to win.
Now in Brazil, teams must have the member who didn't swim with sharks stick a hand into a glove full of ants for the first tip, then break open coconuts in find the second tip. To get into the chill zone, they must make a costume perfect for Carnival.
Teams must go to Dracula's Castle in Transylvania for their first tip. One teammate stays inside a coffin while the other drags it to a graveyard and into a plot. Once there, the gravedigger gives the next tip to ride horseback to the train center, where the teammate who didn't do the ant challenge must show off their gymnastic skills to get to the chill zone.
Teams head on out to Hawaii to dive into a bay for a wedding ring, then perform a traditional Hawaiian wedding ceremony without burning their clothes to make it to the chill zone.
Teams need to travel to Dubai to either return a serve from a over-powered tennis serving machine or squeegee a column of windows on the tallest tower in the city. Afterwards, they need to get to the Gold Souk to reach the chill zone.
Teams must travel to Beijing to visit the Bird's Nest stadium, where they must tandem jump over it for the next tip. Then, one teammate must deep-fry some street food while the other eats it for the second tip. With that tip, the teammate who didn't dive in Hawaii must use a rickshaw to carry the other across the Great Wall to the chill zone.
From the Great Wall of China to Finland, the teams will have to get a tip from a spa and survive a 10-minute sauna session fully clothed, follow by a jump into a semi-frozen river. Then, teams go downtown to play against each other in a air guitar concert to reach the chill zone.
The eleven teams now travel back to Africa for another desert challenge. Meanwhile, the ice dancers travel back to Hawaii on their own plane in order to break a curse. The police cadets win and the ice dancers get last place after arriving very late, but are lucky since there was no elimination.
The still standing eleven teams all go to prison and must escape. The ice dancers and police cadets each get a U-Turn and use it on themselves to lose. Carrie and Devin wins but Devin breaks up with his girfriend. The stepbrothers start to get along and there is no elimination.
The eleven teams stay in Australia for a bunny hunt challenge. The ice dancers paint a bunny to fool the police cadets. The teams then fly their own planes to New Zealand. The ice dancers win again, but the rockers and stepbrothers receive last place, causing both teams to be eliminated.
Now the nine teams start off in New Zealand and all catch a train to either jump off a bridge or dance with tattooed guys. Jacques and Josee swiftly zoom into first place while Owen and Noah are too distracted by the sisters, making them lose. The episode is a non-elimination leg, however.
The recurring nine teams now all go back to Canada for a bean eating challenge and bull riding. Noah and Emma finally get back together while Jacques and Josee fail to keep their lead thanks to revenge from the cadets. Meanwhile, the surfer dudes master all challenges and win the race. In the end, father and son are eliminated.
The eight remaining teams travel to the Arctic Circle where they must play ring toss on narwhal horns and then build an igloo. The surfer dudes outsmart the ice dancers and win again. The haters lose after using a Boomerang on themselves, but it was a non elimination leg.
The eight teams now travel to Flores, Indonesia where they will collect Komodo Dragon venom and then they must find a quilt with the series logo on it. In the end, the Reality TV Pros are eliminated after failing to get to the chill zone.
The seven teams must travel to Las Vegas, Nevada and have a choice to make, either ride Dune Buggies and collect three flags, or perform a magic trick in front of a magician. The best friends are saved by the non elimination leg.
The seven teams fly to Mexico where they must eat spicy peppers to determine which height they will jump from on a cliff to get the next travel tip. Then they must ride burros to the carpet of completion. The goths come in last and are eliminated.
The six remaining teams travel to Vietnam and are merged into two temporarily super-teams. The team consisting of the ice dancers called the Axis of Evil win while the other team gets separated again. In the end, Geoff and Brody are eliminated after sacrificing their win for Carrie and Devin.
The final 5 teams all travel to Russia and must bungee jump in the deepest hole in the world. Meanwhile, Carrie and Devin finally feel their love for each other while the ice dancers cheat for the lead, and even with a major penalty, they still win. There is no elimination in this leg.
The Final 5 now travel to India to harvest crops and then ride a train. The ice dancers cheat once again by derailing the train, delaying the rest of the teams by an hour, but even with another penalty, the dancers are still saved due to the haters stopping before the finish line after falling in love, so they are the ones eliminated.
The Final 4 now travel to Buenos Aires in Argentina for a Tango dancing challenge. Jacques and Josee continue to cheat, but are not given a penalty, so they win. Later on, Carrie and Devin finally share their first kiss, but all does not end so well as Devin is then pushed off a cliff by an emu and is seriously injured. Therefore, Carrie quits along with her boyfriend so Geoff and Brody return and take their place. The sisters also get last place, but are not eliminated due to this being a non-elimination leg.
The Final 4 travel to the Bahamas where they must first find a Ridonculous Race Map which will lead the way during a under sea challenge to find gold coins. However they don't have much oxygen while doing this. Josee gets scared and is down to 2% of oxygen midway. Mcarther then helps her get to surface. Kitty gets stuck in rocks and must hold her breath to escape. Geoff and Brody make it in first place. The Cadets, Ice Dancers, and sisters then are in a foot race to the finish. Josee then hits Mcarther with a coconut and they get 2nd. The cadets take 3rd and the sisters are eliminated. The final 3 teams then immediately make their way to New York City.
The final 3 teams compete in New York for the chance to win the $1,000,000.
