Der Postbote Tom Tipper freut sich jedesmal, wenn er Thomas und Percy helfen kann, die Briefsäcke zu verladen. Doch als Tom nicht mehr mit dem Transporter, sondern mit dem Fahrrad kommt, bleibt ihm kaum Zeit, den beiden Loks zu helfen. Eines Tages tut Percy ihm einen Gefallen und ramponiert versehentlich Toms Fahrrad.
Percy loves seeing the cheerful postman Tom Tipper driving about in his old van and helping him with his mail train. But Tom feels very sad when the Postmaster scraps his van and replaces it with a bicycle. Percy's wish to help his friend comes true - well - by accident, at least!
The postman, Tom Tipper, is upset about losing his van and having to ride a bike to deliver the mail. Percy inadvertently flattens Tom's bike as he is in a rush. In the end, Tom gets a smart new van.
