After the weight problems of adults had already been documented in detail, "Dickes Deutschland - Deine Kinder" is dedicated to the problems of overweight children and young people for the first time, because not only adults have to struggle with overweight, children are also demonstrably becoming fatter: 16 percent of children in Germany are considered overweight, 6.3 percent are already obese. A camera team accompanies children suffering from their many pounds. The reason for this is an incorrect diet with too much fast food and sweets paired with too little exercise. The three teenagers are regularly teased by their peers because of their looks and eat even more out of frustration - a vicious circle that has to be broken.
