May Day

Im Park von Froschhausen findet ein Maifest mit Karussell, Schießbuden und Hau-den-Lukas statt. Mauly, Ratty, Dachs und Frosch vergnügen sich in dem Trubel mit Zuckerwatte. Obwohl Frosch versichert, nicht an Horoskope zu glauben, besucht er die Wahrsagerin in ihrem Zelt. Hinter der Wahrsagerin verbirgt sich jedoch ein geldgieriges Wiesel.

May Day celebrations are in full swing on the riverbank, and Toad, Ratty, Badger and Mole are enjoying all the fun of the fair. Toad fails miserably at "Test Your Strength"- he cannot even lift the mallet- but Badger breaks the bell. The weasels are set to spoil Mr. Toad's day. Posing as the fortune teller, Madame Pastelengro, after sending the real one away by telling her that her son is injured, the chief's henchman foretells an encounter with "a tall, dark stranger with a foreign accent". Later that day, encountering another weasel who matches this very description, the gullible Toad is persuaded to part with all his belongings. Luckily for him, Badger, Mole and Rat are on hand to uncover the deception.
