When Geordie set out to climb Mount Everest in May 2011 he had already summited the highest mountains in six of the seven continents and previously attempted Everest as well. The mountains he had already summited were: Aconcagua, South America - 22,841 feet high. Geordie climbed Aconcagua in a team of seven at 18-years–old. Aconcagua is located in the Andes in Argentina. Geordie summited Aconcagua on Feb 17th 2008. Mount Elbrus, Europe - 18,510 feet high. The highest peak in Europe is found in Russia, Geordie climbed Elbrus in a team of five and summited August 17th 2008. Kilimanjaro, Africa - 19,340 feet high. Geordie summited Kilimanjaro in Tanzania on May 5th 2008, also his 19th birthday. He climbed Kilimanjaro as a solo venture which gave him valuable climbing experience. Denali – North America - 20,320 feet high. Geordie had tonsillitis 2 weeks before climbing Denali in Alaska and as well as his luggage being lost in the airport he also found out his grandmother had passed away the day he departed. He climbed Denali in a team of 12 and they summited on July 9th 2009.
