After Loading up some supplies for a Mining camp in Arizona, there's one mysterious passenger along for the ride. Spud and Kenworth soon discover he's from Cuba, and become so consumed with the fear that he may hijack the plane, they scramble around until they accidentally lock themselves out of the cockpit while in flight.
Triple A finds itself in tight competition with Crawford Airlines for an important mail contract. Spud agrees to watch a baby which coincides with a postal inspector's arrival and they try to keep the infant hidden.
Spud and Herbert learn that Mrs. Crawford has taken out an insurance policy on them. They see every accident as an attempt on their lives so she can collect.
After Herb takes what he thinks will be an important executive position with a major airline, Spud accepts Mrs. Crawford's offer to merge Triple A Airlines with Crawford Airlines - but then Herb changes his mind about taking the new job.
To forestall foreclosure by Ronnie, Herb arranges to have their one plane "stolen." But a group of nuns has been booked for a charter so Spud takes to the air creating chaos on all fronts.
Spud and Herbert become extremely nervous when they see the details of a recent contract. If they don't get a rock star to his concert on time they owe him $100,000. Everything goes wrong on the flight.
Ronnie sabotages Triple-A Airlines by making a large but phony reservation with Triple A, leading Spud and Herb to hire away all of Crawford Airlines' employees - and Spud ends up posing as the bandleader Lawrence Welk.

Over Herbert's objections Spud agrees to take a very expectant mother to her destination. Also on board is a pregnant cat. When Spud is called on to deliver either kittens or a baby a nervous Herb must fly the plane.
To win the business of a gourmet club, Spud and Herb set up a restaurant service aboard Lucky Linda with Spud posing as a famous French chef.
