Twaalf onbekende Nederlanders gaan in Scandinavië de ultieme uitdaging aan om binnen twaalf dagen een afgelegen bergtop te bereiken. Met backpacks gevuld met een deel van een kwart miljoen euro, moeten ze de eindstreep halen. Wie onderweg opgeeft, verlaat de berg met zijn deel van het geld. Onderweg stelt de mysterieuze Mountainkeeper de deelnemers flink op de proef.
