The first in a long line of The Ren & Stimpy Show knock-offs, Schnookums and Meat took its place as the closest in humor and in character personality to Spumco's cat-and-dog duo. Created during the peak of Ren & Stimpy's popularity, the show severed as a "variety" cartoon show.
