아버지가 남긴 막대한 빚에 막막해지는 단오. 선비들은 각자의 방법으로 단오를 위로한다. 단오는 빚의 주인인 장판관이 역적을 찾아 중촌을 뒤지고 있다는 사실을 떠올린다.
Dan-oh becomes aware of her grave predicament upon discovering that some individuals are plotting to seize control of Garden of Flowers. While dealing with a bothersome man on the street who offers to settle her debt if she marries him, Dan-oh vehemently refuses this proposal. As she gains further insight into the financial burden left behind by her father, Dan-oh manages to devise a plan to settle the debt, but without realizing the possible unintended consequences that could arise as a result.
