Noise complaints are hampering Turuz progress but not as much as Teeps haka composition. The battle between Koakoa and her mother continues and Whaea Mavis finds inventive ways to feed the group on a strict budget.
Kahu is so focussed on his fitness goal that he can’t see what’s going on right under his nose. Mavis has had enough of the kai cut-backs and has a plan in mind.
Nanny Fanny heats up her pursuit of Moke. Tdub tries to get Teeps enthusiastic about the new haka he’s composed and Sina finally grows a pair, getting her own back on Puhi.
Puhi is saved from getting sprung by an unlikely source while Teeps and Tdub have a haka-off. Mavis, Fanny and Moke make an incongruous threesome and there’s some shocking news for the group to deal with.
(AO) Teeps must confront his whole approach with the group. Mavis struggles to explain her truth to Moke and Fanny finds comfort elsewhere. Turuz stands in front of their whānau at the dress rehearsal – the final stop before Te Matamano.
With Teeps back at the helm, Turuz prepare for Te Mataiti. They aim to take out the competition but some surprising arrivals leave Turuz in a big old mess mess.
Puhi gives Kahu some news but swears him to secrecy, leaving Kahu in a bind. Moke continues his quest to win Mavis’s heart and hand, while Fanny aims to secure a mokopuna from Koakoa.
Teeps is overjoyed that a TV crew will be filming Turuz journey to regionals. The kapa are not so thrilled when the crew turn up in the most private of places, cameras rolling.
Teeps is struggling to come up with a whakaeke and enlists the help of a dodgy source. Meanwhile, Fanny offers Mavis her wedding planner services and she won’t take no for an answer.
Mavis’s stress levels go through the roof and the kapa are left to fend for themselves. Koakoa finally accepts Teeps’ idea for the whakaeke and Roland is given an ultimatum.
There’s a rat in the kitchen and it seems to have a fascination with Teeps. Sina’s voice coach turns up at practise and she is forced to choose between haka and her future.
Feeling responsible for Sina’s absence, Koakoa agrees to a hui. Later, while Boarding the bus for the Mataiti, Fanny goes missing and when she is located the kapa are dumbfounded.
Teeps has shocking news for Turuz, Koakoa tries in vain to convince Tdub to step up, and Kahu is having difficulty juggling his new position & looking after the twins.
Once Were Warriors has a big impact on Lifebuoy, Nanny Fanny tries her best to take over where Teeps left off and Tdub has a terrifying dream.
Turuz are overjoyed with the new order of leadership, Manu ramps up his questionable business venture, and Hana has it out with a Mataiti judge over the group’s mark for te reo.
Sina & Roland’s friendship is at breaking point, while Fanny tries to strengthen her relationship with Waha in the never-ending quest for a mokopuna.
Waha gets between Roland & Sina’s raru and pays the price. Mavis has a solution for Fanny’s depressed state but Moke wants none of it.
Kahu & Lifebuoy are confident their new venture will be a hit, Puhi seeks answers to her sexuality questions and TDub despairs about the Matatinoiti bracket.
The kapa are surprised by a wedding on the weekend of the Matatinoiti performance, and Te Huinga has her own surprise for Lifebuoy and Manu.
