CI5 pátrá po německé teroristické skupině Myer – Helmutová, jejíž členové v posledních třech letech zabili nebo zmrzačili více než dvě stě nevinných lidí a nyní podle všeho pobývají v Británii. Bodie, který je kvůli zranění ruky na týden postaven mimo službu, na ně náhodou narazí při projížďce na řece a zajme jejich vůdce. Na útěku před zbylými teroristy se spolu s přítelkyní ukryje na osamocené faře. Dokáže toto poslední útočiště i se svým handicapem ubránit do chvíle, než dorazí posily?

Die CI 5 fahndet nach einer deutschen Terroristengruppe. Ausgerechnet der krankgeschriebene Bodie stellt deren Anführer. Auf der Flucht vor den übrigen Terroristen verbarrikadiert er sich samt Freundin und seinem Gefangenem in einem abgelegenen Pfarrhaus. Doch noch ehe er Crowley seinen Aufenthaltsort durchgeben kann, kappen die Terroristen die Telefonleitung.

On leave from CI5 with a hand injury, Bodie takes a day trip with his girlfriend and finds himself face-to-face with the leader of a terrorist group. He captures him but then the rest of the gang arrive and trap Bodie and his girlfriend in a nearby vicarage, leaving him unable to alert his colleagues back at CI5 HQ. With barely any clues as to his whereabouts, Doyle and Cowley go on a chase through the countryside to try and locate Bodie.
