Noritake Sato, Lacquerer Enhancing the beauty of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, a World Heritage Site, is lacquer, a natural material closely associated with Japanese culture. Lacquerer Noritake Sato uses his expertise to preserve the shrine's brilliance. We follow him as he attempts to restore part of the Honden, or Main Hall.
