Bobby Donnell erfährt zufällig von Staatsanwältin Helen Gamble, dass bei seinem Mandanten, dem Drogenhändler Isikoff, eine Razzia angesetzt ist. Er fühlt sich verpflichtet, Isikoff darüber zu informieren. Als die Polizei in Isikoffs Wohnung eindringt, wird sie schon erwartet. Es kommt zu einem Blutbad. Als Helen erfährt, dass Bobby Isikoffs Anwalt ist, weiß sie, von wem er den Tipp bekommen hat - und Bobby wird unter dem Verdacht der fahrlässigen Tötung verhaftet ...

Bobby is arrested and tried for the deaths of three police officers, after he tips off a client, using information obtained during a sleepover at Helen's, that the police are planning to raid him. Jimmy has to defend himself when an opposing attorney claims he's unfit to practice law.
