東の海（イーストブルー）の端に位置する、フーシャ村。 村の少年、モンキー・Ｄ・ルフィは、悪魔の実を食べたことによって体がゴムのように伸びる、ゴム人間になってしまった！ 偉大なる海賊シャンクスと出会い、ルフィは自らも海賊になること夢見る。 そんなルフィにシャンクスは海での再会を約束し、自分の麦わら帽子を預けて出航していった。 それから10年後。成長したルフィは、揺るがぬ夢を抱えたまま、１人大海原へ漕ぎ出す。 「海賊王に、おれはなる!!!」そう高らかに宣言した。
