Paul Sorvino plays Ike Porter, a high-living police public-relations chief, who takes to the streets as a rookie detective when his best friend is slain. Porter is paired with a laid-back young cop, detective Tony Jonas, (D.W Moffett), who rates a rattletrap vehicle that conks out at inconvenient times.
