George Floyd Anniversary, Trump Grand Jury & Cruise Comeback

President Biden met with George Floyd’s family today, one year after Floyd lost his life at the hands of Minneapolis police. But Congress missed the deadline to pass federal police reform in time for president Biden’s self-imposed deadline. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports. The Manhattan District Attorney has convened a grand jury to hear evidence connected to the criminal probe of Donald J. Trump. David Fahrenthold, one of The Washington Post reporters who broke the story, and David Henderson, attorney and CNBC contributor, discuss the latest developments. Texas’s governor is planning to sign a controversial new gun law that permits unlicensed carrying of handguns. Federal law still requires a background check, but critics are calling this legislation irresponsible. CNBC’s Valerie Castro reports on the Texas gun laws. Plus, cruise lines are planning to resume business in Alaska in July. Seema Mody reports.
