Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp praised the Augusta National Golf Club for not caving to the political pressures that have befallen the state recently. The event took place after the Republican governor signed last month an election bill that critics say disproportionately disenfranchises voters of color. Major League Baseball announced on April 2 it pulled its 2021 All-Star Game from Atlanta in protest of the bill’s signing. Now, local Atlanta officials say the MLB’s decision to relocate its All-Star Game will have a financial impact on local businesses and residents. Seema Mody reports.
