Vaccine Rollout, Trump Pardons & The NBA Tipping Off

The U.S. government is close to a deal with Pfizer for up to an additional 100 million doses of its coronavirus vaccine. CNBC’s senior health and science reporter Meg Tirrell reports the first 70 million will be split across April, May and June. There will also be 200 million doses from Moderna as well as extra doses from J&J and AstraZeneca. Dr. Francis Collins, National Institute of Health director, discusses the challenge of vaccine distribution and the nationwide rollout. He also discusses the U.K. Covid mutation. People and businesses are moving to South Florida during the pandemic. CNBC's Jane Wells has the story. President-elect Biden urged Americans to remain “vigilant” over the holidays, adding that Pfizer’s and Moderna’s vaccines likely won’t stop the deaths of “tens of thousands” of people from Covid. President Trump has come out with a long list of pardons just weeks before he leaves The White House. Plus, a big night for basketball fans.
