Maxwell sucht verzweifelt nach einer Besetzung für sein neues Rap-Musical. Da trifft es sich gut, dass Sammy Fran bittet, seinem Enkel Irwin einen Job auf dem Broadway zu verschaffen. Doch leider hat Fran nicht genau hingehört und hält Irwin für einen Rapper, dabei ist dieser in Wirklichkeit Trapper. Maxwell reagiert stinksauer, als dieses Missverständnis aufgeklärt wird, hat er doch dem Komponisten des Musicals bereits in den höchsten Tönen von Irwin vorgeschwärmt. Weil Fran schon befürchtet, dass Maxwell die Verlobung wieder lösen wird, bringt sie Irwin kurzerhand das Rappen bei. Zum Glück hat Sammys Enkel Talent und lernt schnell. Und so zeigt sich Maxwell doch recht begeistert von Frans Entdeckung. Nur C.C. dreht völlig durch, weil Fran ihr auch noch ihre berufliche Position abspenstig gemacht hat. Niles bringt C.C. daraufhin in ärztliche Behandlung...
Fran decides that even though she's marrying Maxwell, she still wants to work. She decides to help him with his new play. They have to find a rapper and Fran gets Sammy's grandson, who is a gift wrapper instead. In major trouble, Fran has to turn the nerd gift wrapper into a music rapper in less than 24 hours to prove to Mr. Sheffield that she is not stupid. Meanwhile, C.C. feels left out and replaced by Fran, and Niles doesn't let the opportunity of teasing her go away, until she finally goes nuts and is taken to a mental hospital.
