Fran hat von Maxwell bei seinem Aufbruch zu einer Geschäftsreise nach London einen Abschiedskuss bekommen. Nun ist sie fest davon überzeugt, dass dies ein Zeichen war, ihm nachzufliegen. Als Fran ihn tatsächlich in seinem Hotelzimmer überrascht, lässt Maxwell sich zu einem romantischen Spaziergang durch London hinreißen. Am Abend ist er sogar derart Feuer und Flamme, dass er nur zu gerne sofort mit Fran auf sein Zimmer gehen würde. Doch just in diesem Moment taucht unerwartet Nigel Sheffield auf, der die beiden spontan zu einem Konzert von Céline Dion einlädt. Danach wollen Fran und Maxwell aber wirklich schleunigst ins Hotel zurück. Doch bevor sie dort ihre Zweisamkeit ausleben können, erhalten sie die Nachricht, dass Niles einen Herzinfarkt erlitten hat...
Mr. Sheffield is going to London to convince Celine Dion into doing Broadway. Fran decides to go after him and take advantage of the romantic scenario to solve their situation once and for all. After a romantic afternoon together, Max and Fran go back to the hotel and almost sleep together, if it wasn't for him backing out in the last minute. Insulted, offended and tired of all the cat and mouse play, Fran decides to leave him before it's too late for her to marry anybody. But they receive a phone call from NY saying that Niles just suffered a heart attack. Fran decides to stay and help while Niles recovers, giving Mr. Sheffield another chance to make a commitment. Meanwhile, C.C. is surprisingly sad after Niles's attack and even drops by at the hospital to bring him some flowers. She reveals to Fran that deep down she doesn't hate Niles as much as it seems.

El Sr. Sheffield va a Londres para convencer a Celine Dion en hacer un show en Broadway. Fran decide ir tras él y aprovechar el escenario romántico para resolver su situación de una vez por todas. Después de una tarde romántica juntos, Max y Fran se retiran al hotel y casi duermen juntos, si no fuera por que él da marcha atrás en el último minuto. Insultada, ofendida y cansada de todo el juego del gato y el ratón, Fran decide dejarlo antes de que sea demasiado tarde para que se case con nadie. Pero reciben una llamada telefónica de Nueva York diciendo que Niles acaba de sufrir un ataque al corazón. Fran decide quedarse y ayudar a Niles mientras se recupera, dando al Sr. Sheffield otra oportunidad de llegar a un compromiso. Mientras tanto, C.C. esta sorprendentemente triste después del ataque de Niles e incluso se acerca al hospital para llevarle unas flores. Ella revela a Fran que en el fondo no odia a Niles tanto como parece.
