盤古開天闢地直至三皇五帝之後，華夏大地誕生夏朝，在夏的疆域內，有一個叫做紀氏的古老家族，領主之子紀寧(劉愷威飾)天賦秉然功夫超群。紀氏因發現礦脈而遭到一個叫雪龍山組織的覬覦，為了守護家族紀寧的父親在戰爭中死去，紀氏幾乎遭受滅頂之災。從此紀寧開始逐步磨礪心性，為了守護家族和身邊的人，他必須變得強大。他進入黑白學宮進行學習，在這裡結識了志同道合的朋友，但他的強大也招來了髮小紀農的嫉恨和暗算，紀寧後來了解到家族之仇背後是更大的陰謀：一個叫做無間門的神秘勢力，意圖挑起戰爭侵吞夏朝。紀寧歷經種種艱險和磨難，終於成長為一個真正的強者，並且聯和各方力量一起來守護夏朝安寧。
