Double Downer

Deacon overbeviser Doug om at tage med til Atlantic City for en weekend. Carrie vil hellere til salsa, men tager alligevel med til Atlantic City. Men Deacon sender en besked om, at han ikke kommer, da hans og Kellys indbyrdes forhold ikke går så godt. Doug og Deacons chef overhører deres samtale og ender med at møde Doug og Carrie i Atlantic City, til parrets store forfærdelse.

Doug und Carrie finden, dass Sie nicht genug Zeit mit einander verbringen und wollen anlässlich des Jahrestages ihrer ersten Verabredung nach Atlantic City fahren. Deacon, Kelly und ein paar Freunde von der Arbeit wollen mitkommen. Also die Heffernans jedoch ankommen, merken sie, dass alle anderen abgesagt haben und sie nur noch mit Doug's Boß O'Boyle da sind. Später taucht Deacon auf und erzählt, dass Kelly mit Ihm Schluss gemacht hat.

Carrie has decided that she and Doug don't spend enough time celebrating the good things in their relationship, and plans a night of romance in honor of the anniversary of their first date. It happens to be on the same weekend that Deacon has planned a group trip to Atlantic City, and he wants Doug and Carrie to join he and Kelly and some buddies from work. But while checking in to the hotel, Doug and Carrie find out that everyone in the group has cancelled and the only person joining them is Doug's boss, O'Boyle. Deacon shows up later that weekend and confesses that after he and Kelly got into a fight, she packed up the kids and left him.
