Season 1

  • S01E01 The Pirates / Sarko the Arkman

    After killing two creatures with a treasure chest, pirates bury it on Amzot when the Herculoids approach; Dorno is captured and held hostage. Sarko (pronounced Arko in this episode) captures Igoo for unknown reasons, attacks Zandor with sleeping gas, and captures Dorno and Tundro as well.

  • S01E02 Sarko the Arkman

    Sarko the Arkman comes to Quasar to capture specimens and grabs Igoo. The others come running and Sarko gasses Zandor then captures Dorno and Tundro but Gleep escapes to warn the remainder. Tara wakes up Zandor and Zok, Gleep, and Zok head off into space to track down Sarko. Zok frees the captives while Zandor draws Sarko's fire. They beat up Sarko and keep him from dropping Dorno to his death.

  • S01E03 The Pod Creatures / Mekkor

    An alien spacecraft hovers over Amzot, dropping mechanical pods onto the planet. Meanwhile, Dorno, Igoo and Gleep, on a mission to get firewood, see the robotic pod creatures as the pods open up and start attacking the trio. A group of powerful robots, led by a larger robot, attack the Herculoids.

  • S01E04 Mekkor

    • September 16, 1967

    Mekkor and his army of robot invaders lands on Amzot - Mekkor buries himself underground, leaving his antenna above ground to direct his hordes of robot warriors. The robots keep overpowering the Herculoids until Zandor cuts off Mekkor's antenna with his shield - without his control, the robots fall, and break into pieces. Mekkor himself pops back up and Zok blasts him, saving the day.

  • S01E05 The Beaked People / The Raiders

    Krokar, leader of the Beaked People, stages an invasion on the Winged Monkeys, purposely letting one escape so he can capture Zandor and rule Amzot. Note: This was the only episode in the 1967 version where Dorno refers to Zandor and Tara as Dad and Mom; even in this episode Dorno reverts to calling Zandor by his name. In the 1981 revival series, Dorno refers to Zandor and Tara as Father and Mother. Sta-Lak (then unnamed) flew over Amzot; upon seeing Zandor and Zok, Sta-Lak turned his ship invisible to avoid detection, with the intent of taking Tara prisoner.

  • S01E07 The Mole Men / The Last Dorgyte

    After being woken up by a bird, Zandor investigates Marcon and the Mole Men's plans to invade the surface world, saving a condemned prisoner in the process. Meanwhile, other Mole Men are attacking the Herculoids. Zandor rescues a young boy from a vulture; the Herculoids then take the boy back to his heavily-shadowed home because he can not live in sunlight. The insect-looking creatures attack the Herculoids on their way out.

  • S01E08 The Lost Dorgyte

    A giant vulture captures a Dorgyte and Dorno spots it and calls the others to rescue it. Zok beats the vulture. They escort the Dorgyte through the Stone Forest to safety, but on their return are ambushed by a spike-shooting caterpillar, an armadillo-like creature, and electricity-shooting beetles. The Herculoids prove triumphant and get back to their own valley.

  • S01E09 The Spider Man / The Android People

    A group of spider-like creatures kidnap Dorno, then try doing the same with Tara. Gloop saves her while Gleep blows a horn beckoning the Herculoids to action. Zandor briefly frees Dorno with his shield but is soon captured with Dorno. After a stalemate, Zandor calls the Herculoids to action for one concentrated attack. Note: this was the first time that the Herculoids were referred to by name within the episode. Zandor was captured by Gorvac, leader of the Android People, and created a giant evil clone of Zandor with plans to create an army of Zandor clones.

  • S01E10 The Android People

    Zorvak and the Android People have a duplication machine launch an attack on the Herculoids and capture Zandor to make a super-warrior android. Zandor escapes and they defeat the Android People, but the Zandor super-giant android shows up and kicks some butt. The Herculoids distract it long enough for Zandor to destroy the control unit on its chest. It turns agaisnt its creators and they destroy each other.

  • S01E11 Defeat of Ogron / Prisoners of the Bubblemen

    • October 14, 1967

    Andropon and his robots invade Amzot, where the Herculoids easily defeat them. After Andropon continuously threatens to build replacement robot armies (and Zandor continuously vows to defeat said armies), Andropon pits his top warrior Ogron against Zandor and Zok. Brotak and his Bubblemen kidnap Zandor and Tara for the purpose of using them as scientific experiments.

  • S01E12 Prisoners of the Bubblemen

    The Bubblemen launch an attack in their bubbleships to obtain guiena pigs for their experiments and manage to grab Zandor and Tara. Dorno sneaks into the Bubblemen's underwater city through the whirlpool entrance and he and Gleep free his parents from the leader, Brotac. Zok knocks out some of the pursuing ships, Gloop rescues Zandor and his family when they crash, Igoo and Tundro knock out the remaining ships, and Zok seals the whirlpool entrance once and for all.

  • S01E13 Mekkano, the Machine Master / Tiny World of Terror

    Trained machines break Mekkano out of an intergalactic prison, where he vows to destroy the ones who put him in prison: Zandor and the Herculoids. Torrak shrinks the Herculoids down to microscopic size for the purpose of destroying them with his super-powered microorganisms and then enslaving the galaxy.

    Torrak shrinks the Herculoids, pitting them against his army of warrior microorganisms.

  • S01E15 The Gladiators of Kyanite / Temple of Trax

    • October 28, 1967
    • CBS

    After destroying the last wild creature of Kyanite, Neron and his gladiators capture Tundro. Zandor and Zok, followed by the rest of the Herculoids, arrive at the arena to rescue Tundro and fight the gladiators. The unnamed high priest of Trax kidnaps Tara in order to use her as a sacrifice for the idol Trax, cutting off the Herculoids in their rescue attempt. Can Zandor and Zok, who are miles away, get to Trax in time?

  • S01E16 Temple of Trax

    The Herculoids come upon the ruins of a lost civilization - Zandor and Zok leave briefly, and Tara is kidnapped by gargoyle statues that come to life. As the remaining Herculoids are attacked, Zandor returns to help them out and then they must battle with an ancient priest who intends to sacrifice Tara to the largest gargoyle, Trax.

  • S01E17 The Time Creatures / The Raider Apes

    Oton, leader of the Time Creatures, has determined that in order to rule Amzot in the future, he has to change its past, starting with destroying the Herculoids and altering time in his favor. Gotron and his Raider Apes burn a village in search of gold. The Herculoids come to the villagers' aid.

  • S01E18 The Raider Apes

    Gotron and his Raider Apes attack a nearby village, intent on stealing the people's gold. Summoned by the villagers, the Herculoids arrive nd follow the apes into the cave the gold is hidden in. The villains eventually recover their gold, and load it onto their ship. However, the ship is so weighted down with gold that it can barely move. Zandor sends Zok out with one last bag of loot. The dragon drops it right on Gotron's face, and the ship sinks. The chief of the village reveals that the survivors got away and Zandor suspects that Gotron will one day return.

  • S01E19 The Zorbots / Invasion of the Electrode Men

    A terrible wind storm is raging on Amzot. However, Zandor notices that winds on the left side of a canyon are aiming right, while winds travel in the opposite direction on the right side. Zandor and the Herculoids investigate, and discover Konar is destroying Amzot's atmosphere to replace it with his own. Konar sends his henchmen, who are either killed or injured by the Herculoids. As Zandor confronts Konar, Konar brings out the giant Zorbots to take on the Herculoids. Zandor chooses to surrender in order to destroy the wind machine from within and, when successful, battle the Zorbots. Volton and his Electrode Men fly into a volcanic crater, setting up a dome headquarters to take over Amzot. The Herculoids are easily defeating them until Volton takes Tara and Dorno prisoner. Zandor and the Herculoids have to wait until nightfall, when the Electrode Men's power is weakened.

  • S01E20 Invasion of the Electrode Men

    Volton and his Electrode Men launch an attack on Quasar to vaporize all matter on the planet. Gloop, Zandor, Igoo, and Dorno repel an initial attack and then Volton leads a new attack with more of his forces. He takes Darno and Tara hostage and Zandor leads a night-time attack to free them while Zok breaks a dam and floods Volton's crater-base. Volton flees and the Herculoids prove triumphant for the 33rd time in...oh, about 33 episodes.

  • S01E21 Destroyer Ants / Swamp Monster

    • November 18, 1967

    A lightning storm causes a nest of giant ant eggs to hatch. The giant ants cause havoc and destruction and Zandor and the Herculoids must put an end to them. A hideous monster emerges from a swamp and goes on a rampage, destroying anything it comes in contact with by its radioactive touch. It eventually traps Dorno and Gleep in a cave, and it is up to Zandor and the rest of the Herculoids to rescue them and defeat the creature.

    When a meteor crashes into the nearby swamp, the radiation creates a ferocious monster that the Herculoids must take on and defeat.

  • S01E23 Mission of the Amatons / Queen Skorra

    • November 25, 1967
    • CBS

    Amak and the Amatons come to the planet and place control collars on some animals. When their efforts to enslave the Herculoids fail, Amak tries to kill them. Gloop and Gleep save the day by turning Amak's stun turret on him, causing his ship to crash. Queen Skorra unleashes a mud/lava creature which they eventually defeat, but Skorra plans to force them into exile by sending her drones to capture Gleep, Gloop, Tara, and Dorno. They defend themselves long enough for Zandor and the others to return and drive off the drones. Skorra launches a mega-shield missile and closes the mega-circle to destroy everyone, but Tundro creates a smokescreen while the others make a tunnel to escape and then send Skorra running.

  • S01E24 Queen Skorra

    Queen Skorra unleashes a mud/lava creature which they eventually defeat but Skorra plans to force them into exile by sending her drones to capture Gleep, Gloop, Tara, and Dorno. They defend themselves long enough for Zandor and the others to return and drive off the drones. Skorra launches a mega-shield missile and closes the mega-circle to destroy everyone but Tundro creates a smokescreen while the others make a tunnel to escape and then send Skorra running.

  • S01E25 Laser Lancers / Attack of the Faceless People

    • December 2, 1967

    The story starts with Zandor knocked out by the Laser Lancers and the Herculoids coming to the rescue. Magoth and the Lancers send a new wave of attackers which the Herculoids repel, but it is a ploy to take Dorno and Tara hostage. With Gleep's help, they seal off the tunnel the Lancers used to sneak up and repel them once and for all. The princess Serena of the Sun People arrives on Amzot, being pursued by Darkon of the Faceless People. Darkon wants Serena so he can control her people. The Herculoids successfully drive him off, but not before he captures Tara. Zandor agrees to a trade but substitutes a berobed Gleep for Serena and they destroy Darkon's palace from the inside.

    The princess Serena of the Sun People arrives on Quasar, being pursued by Darkon of the Faceless People. Darkon wants Serena so he can control her people. The Herculoids successfully drive him off but not before he captures Zara. Zandor agrees to a swap but substitutes a berobed Gleep for Serena and they destroy Darkon's palace from the inside.

  • S01E27 The Mutoids / The Crystallites

    • December 9, 1967
    • CBS

    A ship crash-lands on Amzot with a sole occupant on board. Zandor offers assistance and the passenger turns out to be a Mutoid, a race who can change their appearance to anything. The Mutoids plan to use Amzot as a launching site for their missiles to fool their enemies. Can Zandor and the Herculoids stop them in time? A meteor crash-lands on Azmot and transforms into a giant crystalline object. Zandor investigates and is attacked by the Crystallites, while Tara and Dorno are captured in crystal cells. Zandor, Gloop, and Gleep steal uniforms sneak into the fortress and free Dorno and Tara. Gloop and Zok destroy Kryton's ship and he is defeated.

    A meteor crash lands on Quasar and transforms into a giant crystaline object. Zandor investigates and is attacked by the Crystalites while Tara and Dorno are captured in crystal cells. Zandor, Gloop, and Gleep steal uniforms and sneak into the fortress and free Dorno and Tara. Gloop and Zok destroy Kryton's ship and he is defeated.

  • S01E29 Return of Sta-Lak / Revenge of the Pirates

    • December 16, 1967
    • CBS

    Sta-Lak returns to Amzot seeking vengeance and equipped with robot duplicates of Igoo, Zok, and Tundro. He captures Dorno, Tara and Zandor and the others are forced to go into his volcano lair. The robot duplicates prove no match to the originals, even though the robot Igoo can spin at high speeds and has multiple arms, and the robot Tundro can fly. Sta-Lak enters a bubble and flees into a volcanic lava hole. The pirate captain and his crew from "The Pirates" return. Using an image transmitter, the captain immobilizes Zandor and the Herculoids and takes Dorno and Tara prisoner. Zok uses his neutralizing eye beams to free them, then Gloop finds the real Dorno and Tara from the transmitted images and the Herculoids launch a new assault. The captain tries to escape, but Gloop blocks his escape missile tube, causing the ship to explode.

  • S01E30 Revenge of the Pirates

    The pirate captain and his crew from ""The Pirates"" returns. Using an image transmitter, the captain immobilizes Zandor and the Herculoids and takes Dorno and Tara prisoner. Zok uses his neutralizing eye beams to free them and then Gloop finds the real Dorno and Tara from the transmitted images and the Herculoids launch a new assault. The captain tries to escape and Gloop blocks his escape missile tube, causing the ship to explode.

  • S01E31 Ruler of the Reptons / The Antidote

    • December 23, 1967

    Tara is captured by the Reptons, who place her in a mind control device to make her their evil queen. She orders her people to destroy Zandor and the Herculoids, who beat them and go to rescue Tara. The Reptons send the Destructo Bats after them, but they escape, recover Tara, free her from the machine's influence, and destroy the Reptons' underground lair. While investigating panic among the Monkey People, Zandor confronts a giant spider and is bitten and poisoned. Dorno must go to the six-legged mustachioed Spider People within the Endless Caves with the Herculoids to get the only known antidote. The Spider People capture Dorno to hold him hostage. The Herculoids eventually stage a rescue, get the antidote, and block the Spider People's caves to cover their escape.

    While investigating panic among the Monkey People, Zandor confronts a giant spider and is bitten and posioned. Dorno must go the six-legged mustachioed Spider People within the Endless Caves with the Herculoids to get the only known antidote. The Spider People capture Dorno to hold him hostage. The Herculoids eventually stage a rescue, get the antidote, and steal the Spider People's caves to cover their escape.

  • S01E33 Attack from Space / The Return of Torrak

    • December 30, 1967
    • CBS

    Amzot is being bombarded by the planet Luvanuum. Zaygot and his henchmen are trying to destroy Azmot. The Herculoids travel to Luvanuum in a ship captured from Sarco. When they land, their ship is destroyed and they are attacked by winged sentries with deadly laser beams. The Herculoids destroy Zaygot's base and he escapes—they use Zaygot's ship to return to Amzot. Torrak returns and sends out a giant fly to capture Tara. The Herculoids follow and discover that Torrak's warrior microorganisms are now larger and more formidable, but defeat them anyway.

  • S01E35 The Island of the Gravites / Malak and the Metal Apes

    Zandor and Dorno rescue a man floating in the river who says he is from Gravite Island and tells them that a villain has taken over the island. The Herculoids go to investigate and are attacked by giant gravite creatures. The creatures are being created by Lotak, who wants the village because of its large deposits of gravite. Zok destroys the machine Lotak uses to make his creatures and Lotak is destroyed when his energy ray backfires. Malak sends his Metal Apes to attack the Sea People. Dorno is shot off of Zok by one of the creatures. Zandor and the Herculoids destroy the Metal Apes. A damaged Metal Ape returns to Malak's headquarters and is followed by the Herculoids. The Herculoids destroy the remaining Metal Apes and Zok causes a steel beam to fall on Malak and his assistant.

  • S01E36 Malak and the Metal Apes

    Malak sends his Metal Apes to attack the Sea People. Dorno is shot off of Zok by one of the creatures. Zandor and the Herculoids destroy the Metal Apes. A damaged Metal Ape returns to Malak's headquarters and is followed by the Herculoids. The Herculoids destroy the remaining Metal Apes and Zok causes a steel beam to fall on Malak and his assistant.

Season 2

  • S02E01 The Ice Monster

    • September 12, 1981
    • CBS

    Dorno is feeling depressed when Zandor treats him like a child because of his size and age. Cue an ancient robot monster emerging from an iceblock that is indestructible. Gleep and Dorno sneak into the robot and manage to take control of it and direct it to walk off a cliff, escaping in the nick of time.

  • S02E02 The Purple Menace

    • September 12, 1981
    • CBS

    A monstrous purple plant sends forth its tentacles to attack, interrupting a game of hide-and-seek. The Herculoids drive off the branches and destroy the core. Dorno doesn't think the meance is over and he and Gleep go looking for another plant, getting into trouble. Dorno leads them to a crater with an energy rock that is mutating the plantlife. Combining their powers they seal the fissure containing the rock, ending the menace once and for all.

  • S02E04 The Energy Creature

    An energy creature lands on Quasar via a meteorite. The creatuer can take on the form and properties of any creature it duplicates while imprisoning them in energy coils. It takes on the form of Igoo and proves difficult to defeat. Igoo manages to break free through sheer determination and Zandor defeats the creature by tricking it into taking on the form of a Millennium Plant which will be in suspended animation for the next few centuries.

  • S02E05 The Snake Riders

    Dorno and Gleep spot the Snake Riders, who plan an attack from halfway across the planet, across the Boiling Sea. They warn the others and the Herculoids drive them back to their caverns, but Zara gets captured. Zok disguises himself as one of the Riders' giant snakes and Dorno disguises himself as a Snake Rider and they sneak in, free Zara, and seal off the passageway leading back to the Snake Riders' home.

  • S02E06 The Buccaneer

    • September 26, 1981
    • CBS

    The Buccaneer and his pirates arrive on Quasar searching for a buried treasure. They meet the Herculoids and tell them of their plans, then use their hovercraft to search for the treasure. They begin drilling near a fault line that is close to the Sand People's home. The Buccaneer kidnaps Dorno and then Zandor when he attempts a rescue. Tara and Zok rescue Zandor and Dorno and Zok captures the Buccaneer and his pirates - Zandor commands they leave Quasar never to return.

  • S02E07 The Thunderbolt

    • October 3, 1981
    • CBS

    A friendly dinosaur-like creature, Surla, accidentally eats some radioactive rocks and becomes electrified. Going on a rampage he attacks the Herculoids, taking down Igoo and Tundro with ease. The Herculoids revive and manage to trick him into draining off his energies and reverting to his friendly self.

  • S02E08 Return of the Ancients

    • October 3, 1981
    • CBS

    The descendents/survivors of a highly-developed race that was wiped out on Quasar return to the planet after a 1,000-year mission, and they're not happy to find out their civilization is gone. They attack and capture Dorno, and Gleep and Gloop bring the others. When Zandor confronts them they capture him and put him into a battle with energy whips against their leader. Tara and the Herculoids find proof of how the aliens' civilization was wiped out by trumpeter plants while Zandor plays for time. Tara gets the flower to Zandor which he uses to drive the aliens off.

  • S02E09 Space Trappers

    • October 10, 1981
    • CBS

    A Space Trapper comes to the planet to capture animals. He captures Zandor and his family and then uses a mind-control device to take control of Igoo, Tundro, and Zok. Gloop and Gleep free Zandor and the others and Zandor distracts the trapper by giving up on the captives and acting as a guide. Tara tries to free the others by destroying the mind-control device. The trapper gets wise and controls Gloop and Gleep but Zandor destroys the mind control device and drive the Trapper off.

  • S02E10 The Invisibles

    • October 10, 1981
    • CBS

    Zandor and the Herculoids are plagued by a strange series of invisible incidents as they are entangled and then they start disappearing. Zandor suspects the Flying People and the king says that his son is behind the incident but doesn't know where the invisibility powers come from. Guest-star Space Ghost arrives to reveal that a Magnetite meteor came out of a black hole: its radiation causes invisibility and the king's son got hold of it. Space Ghost takes the meteor away and Zandor drives off the rebellious son.

  • S02E11 Mindbender

    • October 10, 1981
    • CBS

    Dorn, Gloop, and Gleep are playing and discovered an unearthed metal cylinder which contains an alien big-brained alien. When they release him he reveals himself to be a member of race that ruled Quasar thousands of years ago. The Herculoids seem powerless against his powers of telekinesis. Finally Zandor manages to defeat the alien by grabbing his amulet. When the Mindbender threatens to destroy him, Zandor tossed it back into the cylinder. It's a fake and when the alien is in the cylinder they seal it and put him back into stasis.
