Tenby, the jewel in Pembrokeshire's crown. At its heart, the harbour - the most photographed view in Wales. Filmed through the four seasons - this is the story of the men and women of the harbour - a way of life in tune with the sea, the seasons and the tourists. In this first episode we get to know the Harbour cast – from Matt & Chris the Harbourmasters to Phil the Tenby Lifeboat Coxwain and Noaomi the Turner prize winning artist who draws inspiration from the beauty of Tenby Harbour.
The first big sporting event of early summer is Long Course Weekend - a three day triathlon festival which draws huge crowds and the Friday evening sea swim in an important night for Matt the Harbourmaster. Phil promotes a vital RNLI water safety campaign and the community gather at Johanna's Hope & Anchor pub for a big charity event - The Terry Herman Bass Fishing Auction.
Ironman Wales brings huge crowds to Tenby's North Beach. The second big boat lift of the year brings the boats out of the water and onto the quayside and signals the end of the season as the Harbour community recover and prepare to hibernate for another winter - as the life cycle of the Harbour continues for another year.
