Herb Eldeman as Bert, gets to do his thing on The Good Guys, which is to act nervous. He gets so distraught, in fact, that his doctor tells him to get away from it all for a few days. The only way he can do that is by putting Rufus (Bob Denver) in charge of the diner, and if he is nervous with Rufus when he is there, wait and see how bad Bert gets when he's not there.
