Professor Simpson, ein alter Studienkollege Richard Kimbles, entdeckt den Einarmigen und benachrichtigt Kimble. Simpson ist überzeugt, dass er den Einarmigen durch einen Trick dazu bringen kann, den Mord zu gestehen. Kimble ist skeptisch, aber Simpsons Plan scheint aufzugehen. (Text: Premiere)

Fritz Simmons is a college professor doing research on sleep depervation. One of his patients is the one-armed man Fred Johnson, whom works as a groundskeeper at Wellington College. When Johnson begins talking in his sleep about having killed a woman, Fritz contacts Kimble. When Kimble arrives, he verifies that it is indeed Johnson, and he and Fritz realize that by recording Johnson's confession will prove Kimble's innocence. Meanwhile, Gerard has found out about the experiments from Fritz's wife Caroline, and believes that Kimble may be on the premises. Gerard's arrival at the facility leads to an incredible confrontation between himself, Kimble and the one-armed man.

Un chercheur fait des expériences sur un patient qui, dans un rêve, parle d'une femme qu'il aurait assassiné. Cet homme pourrait être Fred Johnson, alias le Manchot, et le savant alerte aussitôt Kimble. Lorsque celui-ci arrive, il confirme qu'il s'agit effectivement de son ennemi. De plus l'enregistrement du rêve pourrait prouver que le fugitif est innocent du meurtre de sa femme. Mais Gerard est mis au courant de ces derniers développements et il arrive sur ces entrefaits...
