There Goes the Ball Game

Richard Kimble besucht ein Baseballspiel. Ohne es zu wissen, wird er Zeuge eines Verbrechens: Nadine Newmark, die neben ihm sitzt, wird von einem Mann zum Telefon gerufen und entführt. Nun ist Kimble der einzige, der dem Vater des Mädchens eine Täterbeschreibung liefern kann. Nur gerät der Flüchtige dadurch selbst ins Blickfeld der Polizei. (Text: Premiere)

While attending a minor league baseball game, Kimble unwittingly witnesses a man walk away with a woman whom is later revealed to be the daughter of newspaper publisher Andy Newark. After discovering that Kimble witnessed the proceedings, Newmark summons Kimble to his office where he tells him that the woman is his daughter and she has been kidnapped. Her abductors want a $200,000 ransom. When word leaks out, reporters surround the Newmark household and Kimble is unable to slip away. Meanwhile, the kidnappers, a former baseball player and a friend, realize that Kimble witnessed them. So, they plot to have Kimble deliver the ransom money so they can kill him.

Richard Kimble regarde un match de base-ball. Nadine, la fille du célèbre journaliste Andrew Newmark, assiste également à ce match et elle se fait enlever. Kimble est le seul témoin. Complètement désespéré, le père de la jeune fille décide d'utiliser les services du fugitif pour retrouver son enfant...
