    Following a devastating loss in Super Bowl 55, the Kansas City Chiefs look to reload an already talented roster. We travel up to St. Joseph, Missouri for Chiefs training camp with newly acquired offensive lineman Orlando Brown Jr. as he details how his short time with the retooled offensive line has gone. Then, we rip open some packs with 5th year Chiefs offensive lineman, and professional Twitch streamer, Andrew Wylie.     On this episode of The Franchise presented by GEHA, our playoff campaign continues. Coordinators Steve Spagnuolo and Eric Bieniemy reflect on the last time the Bills and Chiefs met. Then, we follow the legendary voice of the Chiefs, Mitch Holthus, through his pre-game routine as he prepares to call one of the most important games of his career. Finally, the Chiefs meet the Bills in an instant-classic Divisional playoff game. Down by three points with thirteen seconds (:13) left in the fourth quarter, Patrick Mahomes connected with Travis Kelce to put the Chiefs in field goal range. After Harrison Butker sent the game to overtime, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce connected for the game winning score that keep the Chiefs’ Super Bowl dreams alive.

  • S03E01 Setting The Standard

    As the Kansas City Chiefs get ready for the 2022 NFL Season, they make their way back to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. Clark Hunt introduces the team’s winning tradition to fresh faces. Steve Spagnuolo and Joe Cullen work with the young Chiefs defense to prepare for Training Camp and the season. Rookie Cornerback Trent McDuffie gets introduced to Kansas City culture. Then, fans are back and Training Camp begins as the 2022 season rapidly approaches. Travis Kelce and JuJu Smith-Schuster rally the team to persevere during the first weeks of camp, and Orlando Brown arrives just in time for padded practices.

    While the Kansas City Chiefs are hard at work with Training Camp, the security team keeps the mood light with “Bob the Bobcat” in the dorms. Go inside the wide receiver group with JuJu Smith-Schuster and Skyy Moore as they are mic’d up for practice. Justin Reid and Joe Thuney take a break from practice with a game of chess. The offensive and defensive line work hard at practice with Trey Smith and Chris Jones. Elijah Lee returns home to Blue Springs High School as they begin their preseason camp. Matt Nagy is back with the Chiefs and discusses his return. The team travels to Chicago, and Travis Kelce meets with the Production team the day before the game.     As the Chiefs’ 2022 Training Camp comes to a close, Brett Veach and the front office staff lock in on choosing the final 53 man roster. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs move home to Kansas City just in time for pre-season game number two against the Commanders. Against Washington, the Chiefs earn their first win of the pre-season on the heals of two touchdowns from tight end Jody Fortson. Fortson’s pre-season re-emergence marks the end a long road back from an achilles injury. As he prepares for the regular season, we catch up with him and his mom on the player’s day off to reflect on the road he’s traveled over the last year. Then, Kansas City mourns the loss of legendary quarterback Len Dawson. Against the Packers, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs honor the Hall of Fame QB with a classic “choir huddle” to open the game. Then, the Chiefs beat the Packers on two touchdowns from Matt Bushman. With the pre-season behind them, the Chiefs finalize their 53 man roster.

    As the Chiefs begin their 2022 campaign, defensive end Mike Danna reflects on his journey to the gridiron. Then, the Chiefs travel to Glendale to take on the Arizona Cardinals. When kicker Harrison Butker sustains an injury, Reid’s talents are put to the test as the emergency kicker. The Chiefs breeze past the Cardinals to open the NFL season. On a short week, the team prepares to take on Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers in the first ever Thursday Night game on Amazon Prime. Down by ten points in the second half, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs rally to a victory over their division rival on the back of the longest go-ahead pick six in NFL history from rookie Jaylen Watson. Jaylen Watson chronicles his journey from a small junior college to the biggest stage in the NFL.

  • S03E05 A Chance for Retribution

    In this episode of The Franchise presented by GEHA, the Chiefs sustain their first loss of the 2022 season to the Indianapolis Colts. L’Jarius Sneed and the Chiefs defense get after Matt Ryan, but their pressure is not enough to overcome a gritty performance by the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. A northeast native, assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi has been a Chief since 2009 — years of hard work are coming to fruition. However, balancing family life is of the utmost importance to Borgonzi as he continues to ascend the ranks in the Chiefs’ front office. Hurricane Ian approaches Florida’s west coast as the Chiefs prepare to take on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mitch Reynolds and Brock Baumert make contingency plans as the Chiefs’ matchup with the Bucs is nearly shifted to Minneapolis. Then, the Chiefs dominate the Buccaneers in a rematch of Super Bowl 55.

    In this episode of the Franchise presented by GEHA, Chiefs Kingdom prepares to enjoy a two-game home stand as the Chiefs prepare to square off against the Raiders and the Bills. Chiefs fans share a little bit about what makes tailgating at Arrowhead so special. Then, the Chiefs take on Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders in a stunning showdown. Down 17-0 early, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs fight back, throwing four touchdowns to tight end Travis Kelce. The Chiefs rally and win the game. Defensive Backs coach Dave Merritt talks about his young group of DBs as the Chiefs prepare to take on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. The Bills come to town in the latest entries of one of the NFL’s greatest quarterback match-ups. Despite a great performance from Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs defense, the Bills come out victorious. The Chiefs prepare to take on the San Francisco 49ers in a re-match of Super Bowl 54.

    As the Chiefs meet the San Francisco 49ers in a Week 7 duel, Patrick Mahomes connects with Mecole Hardman for three touchdowns in a 44-23 rematch of Super Bowl LIV. Then, a much-needed BYE week for the team does not go wasted by Brett Veach and the front office staff, who acquire wide receiver Kadarius Toney ahead of the NFL’s 2022 Trade Deadline. Juan Thornhill takes advantage of the BYE Week to propose to his girlfriend Reagan in Savannah Georgia. Regan and Juan reflect on their engagement, and life in the NFL. The Chiefs induct Kimble Anders into their Hall of Fame. Then, Andy Reid and company get back to football in a gritty matchup versus Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans. The Chiefs’ defense steps up in a quiet night for the offense as the 5-2 Chiefs and 5-2 Titans duel into overtime.

    Now well into their 2022 season, the Kansas City Chiefs memorialize the late Robert Thomas with a special patch and ceremony. The father of legendary Chiefs linebacker Derrick Thomas, Robert Thomas was crew member on a B-52 Stratofortress in Operation Linebacker II. The Chiefs take on the Jacksonville Jaguars, and come away with a 27-17 victory as Carlos Dunlap notches his 100th career sack. Now in his thirteenth season, Dunlap reflects on his time in the league and the things he’s learned over his career. Then, the Chiefs’ offensive line meets on their day off to grab brunch together at KC’s Homesteader Cafe, an important ritual during a long season. Orlando Brown Jr. speaks on the importance of bonding to their success on the field. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes prepare for an AFC West showdown with Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Chiefs come away with a signature comeback victory after three touchdowns by tight end Travis Kelce.   • S03E09 The Longest Road

    As the Chiefs take on a three game road stand, they prepare to take on Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in a rematch of the AFC Championship game. First rounder George Karlaftis and his girlfriend Kaia prepare for Christmas as George reflects on his long journey to the American gridiron. Patrick Mahomes gives back to the community that has embraced him since day one in his third annual 15 and the Mahomies gala. L’Jarius Sneed reflects on his miraculous journey to the NFL, and the Chiefs defeat the Broncos for the 14th straight time. The Chiefs’ three game road stretch sets the stage for an epic seeding race with the rest of the AFC.

  • S03E10 Can't Hold Us Down

    The Kansas City Chiefs travel to Texas in Week 15 to take on the Houston Texans for a chance to win seven straight AFC West titles. The game goes into overtime but the Chiefs are able to pull out a win 30-24 thanks to a fumble recovery by Willie Gay Jr. and a long touchdown run by Jerick McKinnon. Rookie cornerback Trent McDuffie utilizes his day off to watch film and take notes on the upcoming opponent, the Seattle Seahawks. He reflects on his rookie year and prepares for the Chiefs Rookie Graduation. The graduation is also attended by the whole rookie class including George Karlaftis, Skyy Moore, Isiah Pacheco, and Bryan Cook. Winter weather strikes Kansas City as Christmas Eve falls on the Chiefs Kingdom. The Seattle Seahawks roll into GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium as the teams face-off in week 16. The Chiefs are victorious 24-10 due in part to incredible play by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs defense who keep quarterback Geno Smith in check.

  • S03E11 All Hands on Deck

    • January 12, 2023

    The NFL playoff picture is starting to take shape as the Denver Broncos come to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium lead by interim head coach Jerry Rosburg and quarterback Russell Wilson. The Kansas City Chiefs are held in check but Jerick McKinnon scores two touchdown and quarterback Patrick Mahomes breaks the 5,000 passing yard threshold. The Chiefs come out victorious 27-24 and they wait for the result of the Bills and Bengals game on Monday night. Unfortunately there is a tragic situation that occurs to Damar Hamlin, a Bill’s safety, that results in the game being canceled. The Chiefs Vice President of Sports Medicine and Performance Rick Burkholder address the Chiefs staff and explains how he prepares the team for a long postseason run with the help of his fellow trainers Donald Glover and Tiffany Morton. The Kansas City Chiefs then travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to take on the Las Vegas Raiders. The team jumps out to a big lead with some fancy new formations.

    In this playoff episode of The Franchise Presented by GEHA, the Kansas City Chiefs enjoy a BYE week during Super Wildcard Weekend. Travis Kelce and Jerick McKinnon reflect on what it means to play in the playoffs. As Super Wildcard Weekend unfolds, the Jacksonville Jaguars mount an unbelievable 27 point comeback in the first playoff win of Trevor Lawrence’s career. Coming off an emotional win, they are set for a matchup at Arrowhead against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. Andy Reid reflects on the evolution of his early-morning routine, and sheds light into the hours it takes to prepare for a playoff matchup.
