Geoff holt Mum Cochrane aus dem Altenheim zum Sterben zurück nach Coopers Crossing. Vic und Nancy nehmen sie bei sich auf. Aber schon bald tyrannisiert die alte Dame ihre ganze Umgebung. Guy vermutet, dass Geoff sie nur deshalb so zuvorkommend behandelt, weil er die reiche alte Lady beerben will. Als er eine Bemerkung fallenlässt, geraten die beiden heftig aneinander.
Geoff finds himself involved with the Cochrane family again. He goes to Melbourne after receiving a mystifying telephone call and he meets Old Ma Cochrane, mother of Carbine and Pharlap. The 91 year old woman wants to return to the Crossing so that she can die.
