Fred muß seinen Gesundheitszustand überprüfen lassen. Leider hat Ehefrau Wilma die Hausnummer verdreht, und so landet Fred mit Freund Barney Geröllheimer ahnungslos auf der Armeemusterungsstelle. Resultat: Die Steinzeit-Armee hat zwei neue Rekruten.

Thinking they are undergoing an examination for a physical contest, Fred and Barney mistakenly sign up for a three-year stint in the Army! After a tearful goodbye to their wives they enter into the service, where they quickly blunder their way into volunteering for the first lunar landing mission.

Pensant qu'ils subissent un examen pour un concours physique, Fred et Arthur s'inscrivent par erreur pour un séjour de trois ans dans l'armée! Après un au revoir en larmes à leurs femmes, ils entrent dans le service, où ils se fraient rapidement un chemin en se portant volontaires pour la première mission d'alunissage.
