萬冠園是佛山醬油業百年老字號，大當家萬啟山與夫人席德容堅持「傳男不傳女，傳內不傳外」的宗旨，可是一宗毒醬油事故，使他不得不答應讓夏小滿及葉細么兩女加入，與其子萬卓楓成為同期學徒。三人與醬園小師傅華歌建立了複雜的四角關係，又間接揭發了萬家多個秘密，加上卓楓突然被擄走，人心惶惶。醬園內，啟山幾個弟弟啟石、啟川及啟江醞釀分家，醬園外，專員高兆榮也密謀奪取醬園財產，萬冠園百年基業隨時毀於一旦！
