I hope you enjoy the episode as much as I did!
Happy Friday, everyone! This week’s Completionist® has Jirard tackling what maybe one of the best PS3 games of all time – on PS4. Will he be okay among all the thieves in the title? Come check it out!
Happy Friday, everyone! Love Undertale? All the endings make you feel? Then good, you are still human (for now). Human or not, Undertale poses a daunting challenge that is rarely tackled by completionists like myself. But all I can say is that overall, each playthrough is rewarding, unique, and makes me feel in a different way. Undertale started as a simple Kickstarter project, and though it was delayed for nearly 2 years, no one could have expected the impact it would have, spurring raving fans and deep lore theories for this mysterious world. Through all the endings, from the Pacifist route to the Genocide route, this game is truly a work of art, and I present to you our longest and biggest video to date on The Completionist®! Enjoy!
Happy Friday, everyone! Today the Completionist® jumps into the indie platform of Netflix, which features a prequel to our favorite desert series- Borderlan–ERRR–I mean Breaking Bad. It’s a next-gen that comes with some stunning graphics, but suffers from being required to be connected to the Internet to play.
Happy Friday, everyone! Kingdom Hearts has captured the hearts (hah) of many with its rich story, unique worlds, and seemingly endless waiting for the official 3rd game. I have completed Kingdom Hearts and KHII, and this time I tackle the prequel game that has tested my Completionist® abilities to the extreme. Birth by Sleep introduces new characters that connect to the established games and will leave you clutching your heart strings. With so many extras and unlockables on the console version, this game is a challenge for any completionist out there. I hope you enjoy it!
What a better way to wind down than kicking back and eating everything in sight. This time, I am taking you through my Top Ten food items in games. Now you may disagree with some of my favorite choices, so if you have a food item you like from a game, let me know in the comments below!
Happy start to the weekend, everybody! Today’s Completionist® features the upcoming Star Fox Zero; we have been looking forward to this game ever since it was announced, and even more so since our interview with Shigeru Miyamoto. The game’s story is pretty much the original story, but in glorious HD and there are portals this time. There are design choices with ships that still make it seem like polygon callbacks that create a cool classic look of the original. Check out the video to find out more, and we hope you enjoy!
Happy Friday, everyone! Join the Completionist® and go from underdog to hero in the reboot of Ratchet and Clank game, that is based off the movie, which is based off the game, which makes fun of itself, which…clever. It has been a long time that a current platformer has been so fresh and well written. Playing through this game has been a lot of fun with lots of clever programming and thought. Though I have not played the previous Ratchet and Clank games, this reboot holds a solid level of enjoyment and looks spectacular. Hope you enjoy the video!
Happy Friday, everyone! Marvel’s Civil War has just come out and to celebrate we have Marvel Ultimate Alliance! Okay, technically I should have done the second for the Civil War story, but I got to do these in order. Save the world from Doctor Doom as you build your roster of heroes to save the world in this…..interesting game.
With the reboot of the new Doom launching today (technically Doom 4), it’s time to take a look at Doom 1, and on Friday the 13th of all days! This game may not seem like it now, but back then it was the center of controversy due to its adult themes (murder, mayhem, and of course, murder). Before you launch into Doom 4/Doom reboot… Doomboot? ReDoom? Come check out the routes of this classic FPS.
Today it’s time to go into the weird Sonic territory, with Sonic Spinball! Back when I was a kid, I barely remember anything of this game besides how hard it was. Now, as an adult, I am interested in seeing how this game lives up to its divided reputation.
Lego video games have the ability to take whatever they tackle and put a charm on it, leading to a fun and enjoyable playthrough. Lego Star Wars became one of the most popular with its first game on the prequel trilogy, then its second game on the original trilogy, then combined the two with some tweaks in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. A game with fun, goofy antics, and, of course: collectibles. So many studs… No really, if I had this many Legos in real life, I’d just build my own spaceship or Death Star or whatever I needed.
Today Jirard finally tackles the game that inspired the show “Defend It!” That’s right–today it’s time for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney! Grab your badges and check it out!
Today we feature a very special episode of The Completionist®–because Asagao Academy is a dream come true. I’m in a video game and you all can date me! This project came as a surprise and we were blown away with how this project developed. So dive in to your first day of school and DATE ME!
Today we have a very special episode of the Completionist® featuring guest star Brutalmoose! Today’s feature: Day of the Tentacle Remastered. Come join us and save the world from evil tentacles!
Now before you start, these top 10 games are my opinion. Not definitive ranks for all the games on Nintendo 64. I hope you enjoy it, because each of these games have a special piece of me in them.
Tekken 2 expanded on the preview game by upgrading their visuals (for their time!) and introducing new modes and moves. The overall narrative of the game is like most fighting games, but begins to shine when players follow the personal stories of these characters.
The new Ghostbusters movie is coming out, but today Jirard tackles Atari’s Ghostbusters: The Video Game on this week’s episode of The Completionist®! His opinion? This is hands down one of my favorite licensed games of all time. This is the closest we will get to a Ghostbusters III! The music is amazing, there are so many tools to work with, and you get to be a member of New York’s best paranormal defense team!
Today The Completionist® folds a new game into the latest on his finished list, and it is called Paper Mario! The story unfolds as Bowser steals the star rod for his own evil plans in the original N64 Paper Mario . What did Jirard think? We got you covered: It seems that I have played just about every Mario game out there. And now it is time to start the RPG games, starting with the wonderfully designed Paper Mario. The decision to make Mario completely flat has created an iconic second “Mario” character, and it plays very well in this lighthearted storybook world. Come join the 2D fun!
Look, internet, you have given me an amazing platform to do what I love: play video games. But there are games out there that should not be played. Dark games, corporate games. Games that lack heart and soul and are filled with…product placement. Chester Cheetah, what happened to you?
Crash Bandicoot has a troubled origin story, with its creation through corporate betrayal and intended to be a direct rival to Nintendo’s famous mascots. I have not played the first game on this channel because….well all I remember is that I hated it. But with the news of the re-masters of the trilogy, I will take this upon myself for you my loyal completers…completians, my..my…fans. My fans. You know what I mean.
Nemesis. That unrelenting, hulk-like, rocket-wielding monster dead-set on killing you. Everyone knows him, everyone is afraid of him. He made his claim to fame in Resident Evil 3, not in the awful movie. A spin-off game called Biohazard was adapted to become the next Resident Evil game, pushing new innovations and taking a risk on their flagship series.
Today Jirard rolls in style as he covers Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, where Samus faces a world of duality in with dangerous beasts called the Ing and Dark Samus to challenge her. Check out his commentary below and enjoy: This year we celebrated 30 years of Metroid. 30 Years of an amazing franchise! With new games and remasters coming out, its great to relive this story. But today we are talking about the one, the only, the award-winning *drum roll* (pretend you didn’t read the title): METROID PRIME 2: ECHOES! A first-person Metroid game full of immersive atmosphere. The mechanics, the music, the visuals, the upgrades! THE SUITS! But my text here can only do so much justice for this game. Watch the video and let me know!
So far 2016 has been the year of Sony for me, and I’ve been having a blast the entire time. I love diving into these mascots they pushed to compete with each other. From Sly and Crash, Naughty Dog aimed to create a third: Jak and Daxter. This game was meant to stand apart from their previous, linear map games. Jak and Daxter would feature an open world but most importantly; a strong narrative.
I love me some retro games, but I am so happy when I found a new game that you all suggest that really takes me to new places. God of War has been such an experience, I’m crazy hyped for God of War 4 (so much so that Jesse Cox might have hearing loss because of it). I present to you the apocalypse brought on by none other than me! Kratos, the Completionist of killing gods!
Undertale, Mega Man, Zelda, what do all these have in common? They all have amazing soundtracks. Soundtracks add to the story, enhance emotion, and get stuck in your head. Here is my Top Ten original soundtracks in video games. But, BUT, back off you raptors. It's only an opinion. We all know there are way too many games that deserve to be on this list.
It seems just the other day I heard about this game, and now the game comes back, calling to me like the sounds of the city at night. It calls, and I’ve come to answer. L.A. Noire. What happened to you? L.A. Noire. Who did this? L.A. Noire. I will crack this case.
Final Fantasy Tactics. Endless hours of limitless party customization, battles, and of course: tactics. In its infancy, FFT sold a million copies, and today it has a plethora of games spawned from the world it created. But not all older games withstand the tests of time. New innovations and mechanics are introduced that dull the older generation. Did Final Fantasy Tactics get it right? Does this system of combat and strategy hold true after all these years?
This marks 5 years that I have been able to do this amazing job because of all you. I can’t wait to show you what we have in store, and I’m grateful to all you fans, to everyone I’ve ever worked with (NormalBoots, JonTron, MatPat, PBG, ProJared, this list goes on!). To celebrate, I Completed Tales of Symphonia! One of the most requested games for me to play, and a task not taken lightly. So I give to you, my review. Restore mana to the world!
Welcome to the first episode of our new format! Brand new assets, hilarity, but same me! Thank you all for being with us for so long, and hey to all the newbies! This week I tackled Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, and oh boy. I can’t stress how broken this is. I can’t stress how much frustration this game makes. I-I might not be able to complete this. It might be incompletable!!
What started as a tech demo turned into one of the biggest shooters in recent years. Gears 4 is out so I thought I'd tackle Gears of War Ultimate Edition. But one thing has always made me hesitate; those damn multiplayer achievements! Luckily I got to play with tons of fans who made this possible. Thank you, everyone!
It’s almost Halloween (special video for that!) and I’ve decided to tackle Bloodborne. This game will require me to become a machine. To numb myself and stare back into the gothic horror and say “I will beat you…. 3 full campaign runs over.”
Five Nights at Freddy’s… Why are you doing this to me Scott? All the FNAF 5 jumpscares, and now Five Nights at Freddy’s Sister Location is one of the scariest games! FNAF: Sister Location really switches up the gameplay from previous games. Going from relying on visual to audio. Your ears are your best friend in this game as you explore the dark past of Baby.
Dual releases were common on the early GameBoy handheld, from Pokemon to even Medabots (bonus points if you know), and by the end of GBC’s life cycle Nintendo aimed to release their own. Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages were born! Two game that connect and compliment each other, but a task I shan’t tackle alone. So to celebrate Zelda Month, the ever delicious PeanutButterGamer helps me COMPLETE these two Zelda games.
Dishonored was always a game I wanted to get back to. I hate a taste of it, now I ended up chugging it. What stands out to me about this game is how much options you have to fit your playstyle. The devs really took into account the way playtesters used mechanics in ways that weren’t exactly intended. This makes multiple playthroughs very fun with new experiences every time.
Yes, you heard me right. I’m a bit behind and today, on the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon, I am COMPLETING Gen 3. I love my Pokemon games but have to play them on order, so hit that play (and like button) and see the adventure that Prof. Alex sends me on!
Paper Mario has yet to have a game live up to Paper Mario 64, with mixed feedback from fans for following Paper Mario games. Even as Color Splash was announced it was judged pretty harshly. But with some innovation and new mechanics, this game just might surprise you.
I have been a big fan of the previous Spyro games, and I was curious to see how this third game rounded off the story. This time a bunny steals from dragons for a wizard to something something evil. Ah, classic game plotlines.
Chrono Trigger is a game that has been praised for decades. From its story, to its mechanics, to its gameplay; everything is top notch. But what makes Chrono Trigger universally one of the best games of all time? I dive in to discover the secret behind the game.
Life breathed into an old franchise. Yes, fans were pretty enthusiastic about the new direction of the game with familiar elements. Despite its platforming spree being derailed by Microsoft, Retro Studios came in and gave us our platforming star back!
Completing my way through Assassins Creed Brotherhood, I review what this Assassins Creed game in the Ezio Collection has to offer.
Starting off the first video of the year with The Last (of Us). First joke of the year done. *check* This was my first time tackling The Last of Us, and wow, I can’t really begin to describe the range, the depth, and the beauty that I have encountered in this game. It was almost a perfect playthrough, but then. THEN the trophies were hell. …Still can’t wait to play part 2.
A game that did not do too well in sales, but I was happy to see lots of appreciation for it when we played it on Super Beard Bros. 3D Dot Game Heroes is a stylized Zelda game that delivers on great gameplay and dazzles with colors. If you haven’t had the chance to try this game, you’re missing out!
Jirard tackles Resident Evil: Code Veronica on the Sony Playstation 4. The fourth major installment in the main Resident Evil series originally released on the Dreamcast, and was the first not to come to the Playstation 2. Does the transfer to the new generation hold up, or is it scary beyond all reason?
The first game of Disappointing Games month is: Sonic and the Secret Rings! A game that wasn’t supposed to exist in the first place, that utilized the motion control of the Wii, to produce a Sonic game that Sega delisted. Why? Let’s see what lies in store…
Today’s great game is SAW II and I really loved– okay I’m sorry I can’t do this. It’s Disappointing Games Month. AND a SAW game. We all know it’s going to be bad. But I didn’t expect this. Get ready for those twists on the “amazing” storytelling in this video ‘game.'
Now, I didn’t believe it myself when the people of the world cried out and said “Bioshock 2 was a bad game.” I just didn’t believe it, but then I grabbed its case, now I’m a believer. Through all those repetitive trials I faced, no doubt in my mind. And then the rest of that song plays. Long story short: too much Bioshock 1 in Bioshock 2.
For the finale of Disappointing Games Month, I review Ride to Hell: Retribution. Widely known as a worst game to come out during its time, this biker game aimed to be a Sons of Anarchy/GTA type of game. But no. No. What did Deep Silver do?! As the gameplay shows, this hot mess of a shooter game fails spectacularly. Upon the many glitches, bland characters, forced story, and terrible sound design, this Ride to Hell: Retribution review isn’t too forgiving. We also take a look at the the game COULD have been. And oh, what a game that could have been…
Old Man Logan is out and to celebrate Hugh Jackman portraying Wolverine for 17 years, I complete X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Now, the X-Men Origins movie is a fantastic pile of garbage, and we can all generally agree that it doesn't impact Hugh Jackman or the story of Wolverine. But the X-Men Origins game by Raven Software is actually really fun! A rare moment when the licensed game is actually better than the movie. So sit down, and get ready to brutally murder every commando on site to celebrate everyone's favorite mutant. Hey, how did the X-Men Origins: Wolverine compare to X-Men Origins the movie? AND did you see Logan yet? No spoilers! But it is so amazing to actually have an Old Man Logan movie!
Because Splatoon 2 is coming out, and I've heard about "where is Splatoon Part 2, the multiplayer one?" non-stop, I'm happy to bring you my pain, my trials, my GRIND to COMPLETE Splatoon Multiplayer in this review. My gosh, the online gameplay is very fun, with lots of modes and equipment, levels, and weapons to unlock. But man as The Completionist, multiplayer segments of games are insane. Watch me as I go through the trials of Splatoon multiplayer, talk about the new amiibos (Callie amiibo and Marie amiibo), and paint my way to the top!

Doughnut Drake is back and ready to Indiana Jones across the world in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Man I can't tell you enough how much I have enjoyed this series. From our previous Uncharted 2 episode I explored the world in a whole new light, but does Uncharted 3 stand up? Or is it just a re-skin with shiny new graphics and tweaked gameplay for the PS3? Regardless, Naughty Dog has earned it's spot as one of my favorite video game developers. Area's of the Nathan Drake (oh, and Doughnut Drake) story might be predictable, but we will see what surprises lie in store for this adventure on this week's Completionist review.
Mass Effect has been on my list because of friends and their encyclopedic knowledge of its universe. And with Mass Effect Andromeda out now, it's time I tackle this Mass Effect review. Bioware has delivered many impressive RPGs and huge worlds to explore, and it was only a matter of time until they made their own universe. The many races, socio-political problems, threats of Saren, Geth, and The Reapers create a fascinating world that feels alive. Great storytelling is the main pull of this game. Through similar dialogue options and still faces at times, you end up changing the course of their universe. I'm excited to give my Mass Effect review and see what it's gameplay has to offer.
Sly Cooper 2 Band of Thieves combines stealth with a cartoony vibe that is rarely done with such perfection. Capturing that Saturday morning cartoon vibe, Sly 2 is regarded as one of the best in the Sly Cooper franchise AND one of the best games of the PS2. This time, Sly and the gang are off to steal the scattered remains of Clockwerk, but with new anthropomorphic gangs to face, team Cooper might have bit off more than they can chew. Another fantastic game in the Sly Cooper Collection, enjoy this review!
God of War is one of my favorite series of all time. The brutal journey of Kratos butchering gods, killing Ares to become the god of war himself, and amazing world building with mythos is just some of the appeals of this game. I was happy to know there were more God of War games for me to play, but I was a bit cautious when I found out God of War Ghost of Sparta was for the PSP (luckily I played in on PS3 in the remastered edition). PSP games tend to suffer from...distinct issues. I didn't want that to affect my next Kratos gameplay, but this Ghosts of Sparta playthrough did not disappoint! A game where we get some backstory on Kratos. Traveling to Atlantis to discover he has a brother Deimos, who is held in thrall by Thanatos, where Kratos must get angry and kill pretty much everything in his way. So I bring to you on this week's Completionist, my God of War Ghost of Sparta review!
Yooka Laylee, or Yooka-Laylee depending on how you type, has been something I've followed closely. A Yooka-Laylee review is one of the games I've been dreaming of, and dreading in case it fails to deliver upon my nostalgia. But I'm happy to say that Yooka Laylee are lovable characters, I'm in love with the soundtrack, and I hope my review does this game justice.
Pikmin. A world of plant beings that are subject to your whims. Pikmin of all types! Red, Blue, Yellow, all are ready for you to command to restore your spaceship as Captain Olimar leads them to victory or the jaws of defeat in my Pikmin review.

This week I COMPLETE The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in Completionist Review! When I first told Miyamoto and Aonuma in my interview about completing Breath of the Wild, they laughed. But now, call me as crazy as a Cucco, I did it! Save Hyrule in this week's video on Zelda: Breath of the Wild review!
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 was a fighting game that slipped under my radar, but now I'm here to tacking it on this week's episode of the Completionist: my Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 review!
A retro gaming collectible, this week I review Castlevania Dracula X on the SNES! A classic with a great soundtrack fun addition to the Castlevania series.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales comes out today and I couldn't be more excited! To celebrate, I'm playing the Lego Pirates of the Caribbean game on Xbox 360 for this week's review!
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga is a joy to review. The way they portray characters in gameplay and dialogue fleshes them out way more than the average Mario game.
PaRappa the Rapper Remastered is out and I can finally play this interesting rhythm game. Come see my rap adventures as Parrapa, the rapping dog who's in love with a flower.
ARMS is a Nintendo fighting game with a twist, or rather a spring. Box your opponents with coiled ARMS and become the champion!
The Completionist reviews Naughty Dog's final foray into the Crash Bandicoot franchise.
With the release of Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man Homecoming, I'm ready to take on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.
It's now tradition for me to play a Tekken game before EVO, and this time I review one of my favorites: Tekken 3.

Super Mario Odyssey is a 3D platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. An installment in the Super Mario series, the story follows Mario and Cappy, a spirit that possesses Mario's hat and allows him to take control of other characters and objects, as they set on a journey across various worlds to save Princess Peach from his nemesis Bowser, who plans to marry her.
Another Bubsy game? This time it's Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind. For as much hype as this game got, getting major spotlights in gaming magazines, positive reviews, it is still considered one of the worst games. And I need to find out exactly what they were thinking. With repetitive gameplay, lackluster character designs, and the same damn backgrounds, "What could possibly go wrong" in this Bubsy review?
Cuphead and Mugman, Jirard and Strippin. These two mugs set out to collect souls owed to the devil on this Completionist Cuphead review!
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap was never on my radar, which is strange because I love the GBA Zelda games! Let's see how this one holds up in my Minish Cap review.
Horizon Zero Dawn has been on my radar for a long time, and now that the Horizon DLC The Frozen Wilds is out, I better sit down to review and complete!
KOTOR is arguably the most famous, and universally fan-approved Star Wars game. I grew up with it and many believe this Bioware game to be the grandfather of larger-than-life RPG titles of Jade Empire, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect. The graphics may not have aged well but Knights of the Old Republic makes up for it with amazing narrative depth.
There are notoriously bad movie games, and The Grinch is definitely one of them. Happy Holidays with my The Grinch game review!
A Hat in Time is a wonderfully charming and successful Kickstarter game that follows a girl with a big top-hat.
Half Life 2 is credited as a foundation for modern games, revolutionizing physics and bringing cinematic storytelling. Let's see how Half-Life 2 holds up today in my Half Life 2 review!
This week I have my Kirby Planet Robobot review! For the Nintendo 3DS, Kirby Planet Robobot game our pink fluffy glutten a badass mech.

I finish off the last entry of the month of three-quels with the darkest one: Dark Souls III.
Plants vs Zombies was a massive international success and brought tower defense games to the forefront. In my Plants vs Zombies review we see how this casual game made itself so appealing.
With the new Tomb Raider movie that's been influenced by the 2013 Tomb Raider game, I thought it was time to complete it! Let's jump into my Tomb Raider Definitive edition review.
Sports games are usually last on my list, but Kirby's Dream Course combines the things I've been looking for: fun characters and a unique spin on the sport. A golf video game seems like an odd choice, but our pink little murder ball has a mind of its own. Tune in for my Kirby's Dream Course review!
Ni No Kuni returned with Wrath of the White Witch, spearheaded by Level 5 and brought to life by Studio Ghlibli. The animations are beyond your normal jrpg and the developers behind the game are very experienced with some hit games. How do these two elements combine? Watch and find out in my Ni No Kuni review!
On this week's episode of The Completionist, I take on another Sonic the Hedgehog game in my Sonic Forces review.
Mario is Missing is known as the holy grail of bad video games. Let's see how it lives up, or rather down, in my Mario is Missing review!
Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories came to sustain the fans during the 4 year period until the sequel. Originally a GBA game, Chain of Memories has been remade as Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD but it still holds a lot of qualities of a 2D game. Find out more on my Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories review!
We're going radical on this week's Completionist with my Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 review. A game that was a huge part of many people's childhoods, full of awesome music, and X-Treme sports hype.

I have to admit something. I never played Donkey Kong Country 3 when it came out. I ignored it. I didn't see the familiar faces of the Kongs I knew and it kept me from trying the game. But now see what I think in my Donkey Kong Country 3 review!
Star Wars week continues with my Star Wars Rogue Squadron review! Take the helm as Luke Skywalker and the ace pilots of Rogue Squadron to save cities, defend against empire attacks, and destroy Imperial facilities. The game may not have aged well, but the heart and cool ships are all still there.
With the sequel announced, it's time for my Beyond Good and Evil review. A cult classic stealth adventure game by Ubisoft that was not commercially successful at the time of its release, but gained enough attention that at a recent E3 Beyond Good and Evil 2 was announced!
I've never played a game that got me so invested in the menu. THE MENU. Detroit Become human aims to be an immersive experience and it's pretty good at that already. This week on The Completionist.
The Sonic the Hedgehog fandom are at odds with many games in the franchise, but Sonic Unleashed tends to be a major split. Differences in opinion for innovative or destructive run deep and passionate. It's time for my take on this game in this week's Completionist episode for my Sonic Unleashed review!
I don't know how many of you recognize this game but I love it and you should definitely check it out. I'm talking about Power Stone. No not Thanos's. The Power Stone game! Harness the power of totally not Chaos Emeralds and transform your fighter. Check it all out in my Power Stone review!

Known as perhaps the greatest Mario RPG ever created, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is a game that has been often requested. I finally decided to tackle this fan favorite, but will I enjoy it more than the other Paper Mario games I have played? Could this be the game that topples Super Mario RPG as my favorite Mario RPG of all time?

The Owlboy game has been in development for over 10 years! There's very few indie games that can keep going that span of time, not to mention to keep the heart of the concept. But no matter what, the developers at D-Pad Studio continued to craft their concept and build it to ensure fans would enjoy it. And the end result is quite amazing. It's an indie retro game, that's a platformer focused flight. The visuals and soundtrack come together and it really is a work of art. It's a shame it's only just recently been released on the major consoles for how long its been out. There's an emotional story to connect with here, and it's worth the exploration.
I can't stress how much I love The Messenger (if you couldn't tell from my contest). This week I give you The Messenger review to show you just why I connect with this game so much.
Wind Waker struck a divide in the Zelda community with it's cell shaded graphics. But does giving it a modern refresh and some tweaks enough to patch some of that damage? We'll find out in my Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD review! It's Link and pirates! What's not to like? Everything looks like a charming cartoon, and this game has aged extremely well.
With the great power of hype and modern technology, comes the great responsibility of pleasing fans world-wide. For our ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBER video, I do something different with my Final Fantasy X review. It's been an insane journey and I can't wait for what's next.
One of these days I'm gonna run out of Mario games to review. But luckily I still have another one of the Mario RPG games to do for my Mario & Luigi partners in time review!
Batman Arkham Origins is the third game in the arkham franchise. It brings a stellar detective mode and further enhanced free-flow combat to the table. Batman uses a plethora of new gadgets to help bring down eight assassins aiming to take him out on Christmas Eve. This game brought back the challenge missions from previous games and introduced multiplayer to the franchise.
The debate around Star Fox Adventures has always been, its a good game, but is is a good STAR FOX game? My Star Fox Adventures review aims to answer this question this week on The Completionist.

As the most requested game from our Indieland stream, this week I complete my Hollow Knight review!
With the amount of content, music, and extras stuffed into this game, the only bad thing I can really comment on is the online lag.
To play a game that has such child-like wonder, exploration, and atmosphere is something to be cherished. In my Ori and the Blind Forest review I complete the game and embark on this beautifully crafted journey.
Metroid: Zero mission is a complete remake of the original Metroid, and it's something I've wanted to conquer since it came out. On the GBA there's new completionist criteria, so let's find out how I do in my Metroid: Zero Mission review.

Has the game aged appropriately? Or will it be overshadowed by a movie version one day? Let's find out!
The plots of these Kingdom Hearts games make me feel like I'm in a dream. A fever dream at times. In Dream Drop Distance, we are asleep but unlocking worlds in a dream? Is it literal like this is some coma dream or existential as it connects the dots to the power of Awakening in Kingdom Hearts 3?
Mario SURFS the TIMESTREAM on a surfboard to their respective eras. But in order to complete the quest, you have to answer questions about historical figures. These educational games are kinda weird and was not at all the type of Mario game I was expecting as a kid.
The next Sonic game, Team Sonic Racing is out and I'm ready to dive in! Not all racing games are created equal. We got classics like Crash Team Racing, so how will the new Sonic racing game hold up and what new elements will they introduce to give a fresh spin? Find out in my Team Sonic Racing review!

This is a bit different from with Donkey Kong games. There's no letters, not even any hearts for health. In fact its all about platforming and completing combos to get you there.
Are you a fan of classic Rockstar games? Ever want to play a GTA version of high school? Then Bully is the game for you! This week I complete my Bully review! Compared to other GTA-style games, the completionist list is actually doable and not overwhelming. Usually you're dropped into a huge map, but here in Bully you are focused onto your school. It gets personal to fight your way to the top of this school!
With the live-action Lion King movie coming out, I figured it was the best time to complete the Lion King game. This retro game is known to be unfair and ridiculously hard. It was even designed to be super difficult to squeeze hours of playtime out of it. But I won't be beat. I couldn't beat this when I was a cub, but now I am a man-lion. With a full mane ready to defeat this game!
Wario Land Shake it must have slipped under my radar because this is an amazing Wario game and a fun 2D platformer for the Nintendo Wii. It does utilize some of the motion controls that the Wii was all about, but there's so many aspects of this game that kept surprising me and making me wish Nintendo would give Wario some love and make another game for him! Move over Mario! I want that Wario and Waluigi adventure we've all been waiting for! I'm joined with Brett Bayonne as we discuss the finer points of this Wario Land Shake it review. What stood out and surprised us the most was how great the Wario Land Shake It soundtrack music is. Why does a game centered around shaking things and greed so darn charming? Find out in my Wario review!
Wolfenstein The New Order may be the 7th game in the Wolfenstein series, but it's the first one I've played. I don't play much FPS games, but this has got my attention. The way it's built allows you to choose: do you want to go all stealthy? Or a pure frontal assault of bloody mayhem? Mix and match all you want, you've got plenty of nazis ahead of you to experiment on.
Series within series within series. Series-ception. Assassin's Creed Revelations is the end of the Ezio trilogy, smack dab in the middle of the hundreds of Assassins Creed games. Now this may not be as exciting with historical characters or types like Greek warriors, Pirates, and more, but this wraps up the narrative they were playing with rather than creating world adventure. Let's jump into my Assassin's Creed Revelations review!
Sequels give the chance for improvement or mistakes. From Jak and Daxter to now just Jak 2, I take a look at how things have changed and if it's for the better or for worse in my Jak 2 review.
There's going to be a lot to complete, such as the Celeste B Side, C side, strawberries, and then the golden strawberries. But like Madeline, it can be done with one step at a time.
It's gonna take time to get all the different types of magic, or "synergy" as they call it, to 100% Golden Sun.
This week on The Completionist, I tackle my Pikmin 2 review! Collecting, commanding, and ignoring Loiu as I repay my virtual debt in this classic Nintendo IP.
Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land is the game that helped solidify the pink floof's aesthetic and charm for games to come. A visual remake of Kirby's adventure but brought to the GBA, this casual game offers some interesting challenges in completing it.
The Uncharted series may be about stealing treasure, but Uncharted 4 stole my heart as well. In a fantastic mix of action adventure, Naughty Dog found a way to make me really CARE for these characters. Let's follow these characters to the end in one of the most grounded Uncharted stories in the series, oh and watch Nathan Drake play Crash Bandicoot too. Let me know what you thought about my Uncharted 4 review!
With Little Nightmares 2 coming out, it's time I complete this adorably creepy game that is the first Little Nightmares. This is a quick and incredibly charming horror platformer that gives you interesting puzzles through the ship called The Maw. Full of disturbing creatures set on eating you, will the art style and charm hold up when the final achievement is to speedrun the game? Let's find out in my Little Nightmares review!
When I first decided to do this Panzer Dragoon review, I thought it was a game in the Panzer Dragoon saga which many claim to be as good or better than Final Fantasy 7. Anything that could compete with my favorite JRPG of all time should be interesting right? Then I realized that I was playing an arcade rail shooter with a 100 hour playtime achievement. Though it is basically is Star Fox with a dragon, let's see how this game holds up to Completionists.
As promised, if Greg and I won King of the Web, I would have my head shaved!
I survived The Walking Dead! I've been a huge fan of the Walking Dead ever since it aired. And it's pretty cool that new content will be released as Season 7 progresses. It is a mobile game that is pretty addicting.
2016 has been a year filled with thousands of achievements, thousands of hours of gameplay, and thousands of (you seeing a pattern here? Completing games is crazy hard) Diet Snapples. It’s been an amazing year with you all and I can’t wait to show you what is in store for 2017!

To commemorate the impact Sony had on my childhood, I present the top ten eclectic assortment of my favorite PS1 games. This is by far, my list, and my opinion.
Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Season 10 is out, for consoles and PC gamers alike. In Patch 2.5.0, I created a seasonal character and played with fans to power-level through the game. I've been a long time fan of Diablo, and have play waaay too much Diablo 3 in my time. I think the addition of Seasons (currently at Season 10) is an interesting way to keep the game fresh and the challenges incoming. Reaper of Souls allowed me to play with you the fans for the past week as we grinded our way through levels, bosses, and onward to loot! There is always a debate on how Diablo is best played on either PC or Console, but to me they each have their own distinctions. I myself play Diablo 3 on console (PlayStation 4 to be exact) and love the couch-bonding experience with friends. Blizzard was kind enough to reach out to me after seeing how big of a Diablo fan I am and I had this amazing opportunity to bust my ass through Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.
Today's update video will discuss my upcoming plans for The Completionist as well my schedule for future conventions and events! Defend It will be coming back soon too! We have a lot planned for that, so stay tuned for some awesome reviews and courtroom shenanigans.

2020 sucked. And with this sucky year there are some sucky games. I count down the Top 10 WORST video games of 2020. There's a few you may already know, we've all seen the jokes about Cyberpunk 2077, and a few that are just disappointing. Instead of building and expanding off an idea some games just rehash and put it out. There's a lot to rant about so let's jump into it!
Some achievements and trophies are too difficult to complete or just straight up broken. From achievements that require endless grinding for online play, or ones that have no player base any more to even achieve.
