A Silent Voice is one of the most evocative animated films of the 21st century and has been globally recognized as such. Original Title: Yassified Pinocchio: A Tale of Two Dubs
Baccano! is a supernatural gangster series whose English dub is still beloved by many in the anime community to this day about a decade after it was distributed here in the West. The dub was handled by Tyler Walker, a Texas-based actor, writer and ADR director who has been working on anime dubs at FUNimation for almost two decades. Today, I got the chance to sit down with Mr Walker in order to discuss some of what made the project so special, as well as to give us a glimpse into how dubs were handled back then compared to how they are now. Huge thank you to Mr Walker for taking the time to talk to us about his work.
