Although Chris has his own shop, he is determined to get a bigger one. He has also started romancing Anthi, the daughter of his competition, Galanakis. He is set on getting Galanakis shop at all cost.
Chris starts to bring his family from Cyprus to help with the shop. He starts with a steakhouse braai restaurant and looks for partners. Chris asks his cousin, Theo to talk to Galanakis so that Chris can date his daughter Anthi.
The steakhouse is up and running and Chris brings his sister, Rene and her husband to help out. In the meantime Chris' mother wants him to marry Effie which was arranged, something Chris was unaware of and not keen on.
Chris returns to South Africa angry at Rene who tricked him in going to Cyprus for the arranged marriage. Chris takes a trip to the race track with Papademos and meets Katrina. Chris gets a crazy idea of getting his meat someplace else. Chris' younger sister told the family that she is not pregnant and wants to be an actress.
Chris, still romancing Katrina, decided to buy a farm focusing on his butchery. He also approaches Mr Papademos as a partner in an effort to keep Galanakis off his back.
Although Katrina accepted Chris' proposal, she still hides it from her family as they are not in favour of her daughter with Chris. He makes a risky deal as well to buy the de Villiers' farm against his lawyer's advice.
Things are not so great between Chris and Katrina. He begins to run into problems and decides to hold a wild animal auction. Things make a turn for the worst as he ends up in court.
