Als Jackson sich einem Lügendetektor-Test unterzieht, kommt ein pikantes Detail heraus: Er hat eine Affäre mit einer Exil-Iranerin verheimlicht. The CIA conducts an internal investigation when it suspects Jackson of leaking sensitive information. In order to test Jackson's loyalty to the CIA, Matt and Carl secretly recruit the Persian cellist with whom he is romantically involved to gain information about a terrorist threat at the Yemeni embassy. Meanwhile, Terri must forge a 50-year-old document implicating the CIA in illegal activity involving the Dalai Lama that would prove calamitous for present-day Tibet should it fall into Chinese possession.

La CIA indaga su Jackson Haisley, sospettato di aver divulgato informazioni riservate. Per verificare la lealtà di Jackson alla CIA Matt e Carl reclutano segretamente la violoncellista persiana con la quale Jackson è sentimentalmente coninvolto, per ottenere informazioni su una minaccia terroristica all'ambasciata dello Yemen. Intanto Terry Lowell deve falsificare un documento di 50 anni fa che prova l'implicazione della CIA in attività illegali che coinvolgevano il Dalai Lama. Un documento che, se cadesse nelle mani dei cinesi nella sua versione originale, si rivelerebbe disastroso per il Tibet.
